EDIT/update: I edited from 1 to 3 stars because unfortunately I had to call guest relations due to on-site customer service staff, but when I did the woman was understanding and apologetic and helpful...the complete opposite of my store experience, so thank you Guest Relations person. this store does feel like its dying though, understaffed over-securitized...its not the best shopping experience but this is my neighborhood target and I've been shopping here for a few yrs so I guess I'm rooting for it anyways...ohh, and open your LEGO kit with a cashier. -------------------- never bothered to write a public review before but here we go, my boyfriend purchased a 50$ LEGO set from here a couple weeks ago, from behind a locked case of course, he opened as soon as he got home to find the box had been tampered with, someone had previously opened the box, opened the individual packages and replaced the new LEGO pieces with a mix match of old pieces, even threw in an old booklet, the theft cover up looked too time consuming/noisy to be done in-store, I can only assume someone had bought and returned this item and Target reshelved it, I'm not sure why the thief put so much effort into the process, meth? but it did not look like a first time operation, so my BF called the store right away to report, they said "no problem, just bring it back and we will refund you", but due weather/not having a car/anxiety about returning, a couple weeks passed until we had a day off together and I convinced him to take it back, at the return counter they reacted like we are the first people to ever report such a situation, at least 3 dudes looked at the situation and walked away, no one seemed to know what to do, a female came over and said that we only had a 24 hr window to get a refund and left us with the this box of garbage to carry back home a second time and a phone number for guest relations..awesome! 1) the first person we talked to on the phone mentioned nothing about this 24 hr return window(their fault) 2)target accepted an illegitimate return/or an employee is tampering with merchandise which led to this being on the store shelf.(their fault) 3)target sold this illegitimate item AND won't readily refund it...that equals not our fault but somehow our ongoing problem. we should have just resealed the box and got our money back, instead we pointed out that the box contents had been stolen and replaced so they should not reshelve and continue the cycle, this is what you get for honesty. pics: wrong/old booklet, old legos, opened and resealed plastic bags.

Update: updated from 3 to 1 star. I think corporate genuinely wants this store to close because yeah its miserable here. The death of the self checkout in addition to myriad locked products.... the biggest oof I can muster. This doesn't stop or deter theft. Its sad how corporate just clearly does not care about this store or its employees.

This is a nice Target, every time I have gone it appears clean and in the process of reshelving/or changing inventory seasonally. This time the Lego toy isle was almost completely bare! They do have a very large selection of board games. The check out line was very long. Staff have always been helpful when I have had questions.

I came in today with my wife and son to grab my prescription from the pharmacy and do some light shopping. My wife tried on a few dresses (the girl working the dressing room counter was pleasant and prompt) and ended up purchasing them. We didn’t realize until the store was nearly closed that she had lost an earring. We called to see if it was there and nothing had been turned into the lost and found, but Kaleb went to check the dressing rooms for us just incase and found it! Prior to finding it, we told him that it was a Safire and diamond earring, so he knew it was valuable and could have easily kept it/sold it/what have you. I’ve lived by this target since 2016 and that’s just to say that I know some of the many challenges they face on a daily basis there. And as someone that has done their time in retail, I know how hard the job can be, and how under-appreciated it often is. But despite all of that and so close to closing time, Kaleb not only took the time to help, but demonstrated a level of professional and courteous customer service that is exceedingly rare. I rushed back to retrieve the earring and thank them for finding it. I don’t remember their name but the employee working the counter in guest services was a delight as well and greeted me with a smile. Thank you both again for your help and hospitality. Doing the right thing is rarely rewarded but I would urge your managers to see to it that you are rewarded for your excellent customer service and hard work, and to do whatever it takes to keep you happy. Speaking as a former manager you can’t teach what they have. Take care of them or you risk losing some incredible talent to...

Buyers Beware!!!! The store located at Mall 205 in Portland Oregon will STEAL your money and give you nothing in return, including your money. October of this year I did an online order and allowed 2 hours for it to be ready. Went to the store and surprise surprise NO order was ready. The girl laughed YES laughed at me and said it's not gonna be ready until Whenever! She never even looked up my order. It was to simple bottles of laundry softner. So I canceled the online order and went and got it myself. So much for convenience! I have now waited a month for my money to be returned to my bank account. After calling the call center I was told I would get it back in 2-5 days, well its been 32 days. TARGET AT MALL 205, AND CORPORATE IS A THEIVING MONEY STEAL COMPANY. And Now another fun filled updated. My newest trip found me trying to self checkout due to NO other registers open. Just self checkout and a line of about 40 people. I recently tore ligaments and my meniscus in my knee so standing while people figure there stuff out on our own was NOT fun. And the guy that was supposedly there to help just stood there when people asked for help. What a waste. Don't go here thinking about getting any help because you will only get ignored. I left items behind because then prices were wrong. Just more money for...
