A New Gem in East Portland!
I'm absolutely blown away by Tasty Wok, the newest addition to the East Portland dining scene. This place is an instant favorite and quite possibly the best Chinese food I've had in the entire area.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The restaurant itself has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a family meal or a casual night out.
But let's talk about the food! Every dish we tried was a masterpiece. The fried chicken wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The spring rolls were perfectly golden and packed with flavor. The General Tso's Chicken was a classic for a reason – perfectly balanced sweet and spicy. The sweet and sour chicken was tangy and delightful. The Mongolian Beef was tender and flavorful.
And then there was the Spicy Kung Pao Trio – my absolute favorite! It was a symphony of flavors, with perfectly cooked chicken, peanuts, and vegetables all tossed in a fiery sauce that had just the right amount of kick. To top it all off, we couldn't resist the refreshing Thai Iced Tea, which was perfectly sweetened and a perfect complement to the delicious food.
Tasty Wok is a true gem. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and the passion for cooking shines through in every dish. With its exceptional food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, Tasty Wok is a must-try for anyone who loves delicious Chinese cuisine. Highly...
Read moreYikes.. I feel awkward leaving an honest review after so many rave reviews. But here goes. Traveling thru the area and based on the good reviews decided to try this restaurant. Very sleezy mini strip mall in a sketchy part of town. The restaurant interior leaves a lot to be desired. Very very basic and dirty. The restroom was an all out filthy pit. The service was also basic. But no complaints. The food was cheap but probably came outta a frozen Chinese TV dinner box. Both my husband and I now have tummy aches after our dinner. I can’t understand why people have raved about this place?? Ughhh no thank you. We’d been better off finding a McDonalds. Forgot to add the stupid loud hard rock music coming from the restaurants dive bar. I felt deceived by the other fabulous reviews! I honestly thought I was at the wrong restaurant! But my cc receipt says...
Read moreThis place was a new, pleasant surprise! According to the waitress, they just opened a few months ago. It was a really nice atmosphere and the place had a fresh coat of paint and brand new everything down to the utensils and plates. The food was stellar and we will definitely make this a regular spot from now on! We recommend the house chun fat noodles, they were done just right! Crab puffs were excellent, and had plenty of filling in them. The scallop dish and sauce were perfection! House fried rice was also above and beyond.
Food, service and atmosphere were A+!
You will not be disappointed!
Extra stars for cleanliness and service! A+🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!!!!!
