I live in Atlanta, and when I visited my friend in Portland last year my friend took me here. We had tea together and had a great time. During our chat and tea time, she recommended a tea-making course to us, and then my husband and I paid $1600, or $800 each for the tuition. Later, when we were learning, we found that what she was teaching was not the authentic Chinese tea culture, but rather basic and simple content, which was even downloaded from the internet. We felt that she was charging a high fee but not teaching us the real tea culture. Later, when I returned to Atlanta, after a year, we asked for a refund for the course we had not completed. At that time, she agreed to refund the money, and she also calculated the refund amount from her perspective.Later, she refunded $400 to the students who had taken the course with us. But instead, she just wanted to give me and my husband back $300 each, we thought it was unfair and angry but also agreed to refund the total price of $600, I sent her my Venmo to her. But she never refunded our money, and then we asked for the tuition receipt and the receipt of the tea and tea sets we bought there (I later learned that the tea sets was much more expensive than the one on Amazon.com which was a total rip off). She didn’t give us any receipt by any forms. And she treated us very rudely, and she insulted and disrespected me on WeChat(a chat app we were using)We know her from Airbnb that’s why we are here again to reflect on this issue, so that all customers, customers in America will not be cheated. I don't want anyone else to be deceived like us, and now we are in the process of finding a lawyer. We want the receipt from her and we want her to return the money back which we never attend the courses. But after several weeks of negotiation, she blocked me on WeChat and just ghosted me. So I had no choice but to expose this matter.Thank you and folks please open...
