I read that this place was supposed to be good, but unfortunately it was not. I ordered one of their peanut Thai specials and it was very very dry, like no sauce. I assume it’s supposed to have a sauce because it is a pad Thai dish, but maybe I am wrong. their menus stated the combo would come with shrimp, chicken, and beef, however mine had 0 beef and 2x pieces of shrimp were not clean (the poop vein was still there, see photo. I also asked for an extra order of white rice, and it was over cooked and mushy. The straw that broke the camels back was they did not give us any utensils or napkins, this was a take out order. When I got back to my hotel I had to drive out to the closest store to get a fork because my hotel does not have a conti-breakfast so they didn’t have anything I could use. This was a HUGE inconvenience after being in the road for over 6 hours (traffic wasn’t great today). I didn’t want to go out again that’s why I ordered take out. Needless to say, despite the fact I am only driving through Portland today and will be gone tomorrow, I will not be a patron of this restaurant again. Hopefully if you do it will be a better experience than mine.

First off this is such a cute little spot, they have a takeout window so dine in customers aren't bothered with the coming and going door dashers. The dine in area was nice and quiet, and felt like a space that had much effort and love put into it. Our waitress was highly attentive and made sure we had full waters the entire time. Their Thai tea was delicious and the food was amazing! Normally when I go out to eat somewhere new I stick to my safe foods but something told me to go out of my comfort zone and to try their lemongrass chicken. I'm so glad I did! I'll be coming back eager to try new dishes, both my food as well as my friends was delicious. AND on top of the amazing service and food I was so very grateful for a small moment of compassion, our server came by to make sure we knew a squirrel had gone under my car and to be aware when we leave. Overall a wonderful experience!

arrived an hour before closing, but the man and woman running the place had already started closing. Beer and wine prices were a bit high and the selection of bottled beer was mostly from Asia, not my cup of beer, I mean tea, so I had water. $4.95 for teeny tiny fried Thai Egg Rolls (aka frozen lumpia) and $10.50 for Beef Massaman Curry, $15.45 with NO TAX ... WHOO-HOO, not bad for a "decent" meal. The egg rolls were OK, but my entree arrived before I had finished my second egg roll, a pet peeve of mine, so they get dinged right off the bat, The curry was tasty enough, comparable to many similar curries I have had, but was a tad light on the beef (2-3 ounces at best) for the price. I love Thai and this was mediocre at best, not a great value and less than stellar service, Thai Ginger was a bust. CombatCritic Gives Thai Ginger 4 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!

Worst Thai food in Portland. I took out an order of cashew chicken and pad prik khing. When I opened them, they were nearly indistinguishable from one another. They were both a tiny pile of onions and bamboo shoots with a minuscule amount of meat in them. The pad prik khing had no green beans in it...pad prik khing is STIR FRIED GREEN BEANS, y'all. The only difference between the dishes was that one had 7 soggy cashews in it. I lived in Thailand years ago, and have learned not to be too snobby about Thai food since then, but this is ridiculous. Even with the ultra bland Som Tum (green papaya salad-the dressing was clearly just lime juice and sugar...yuck) and rock-hard sticky rice, it wasn't enough to feed two adults and a 7 year old.

I can't believe how many good reviews this place has. I've tried it twice before this because it's convenient to my house and have never been impressed, but this is tine was, hands down, worst Thai food I've ever had. Never again. What a waist of $38. Save your money and go up the street to E-saan, or into St. Johns to...
