Sad, our first time here and overall disappointed. The online menu is nothing like the actual menu and as someone with ordering anxiety I usually rely on being able to plan it out ahead of time, the Baristas were just .. rude and not paying attention . They had laminated menus right next to the register on obvious boards , which did not list syrup flavors but when we asked what the flavors were the barista brushed us off and just said they were on the menu over there (which at that point we weren't able to see the menu because people were behind us) but also they weren't on the obvious menu?? Eventually I figured out she was referring to a hidden, decorative signboard that was behind a bunch of other stuff that nowhere on it said syrups and only had listed specialty drinks . I am a bit disappointed she couldn't just tell us the syrup flavors since we asked , were in the middle of ordering, and had people behind us. And instead just said "it's on the menu." . While ordering too she was rude and standoffish about what we asked for, when adding an egg or ham to our sandwich she would go "are you sure you want ham and egg? It already comes with it" and it's like ?? Nowhere on your menu said this item came with it how would I possibly know that. Also why would it be an option if it already did or why are you judging me for not knowing the menu when every single menu is completely different to what you actually offer ? We also had to repeat ourselves a lot which wasn't for clarification or order double checking purposes, she was just clearly not listening to us ... We sat down after getting our drinks and a few minutes passed and she dropped off our food , I said thank you and she just stood there for a second looking at me weirdly ? I don't know what that was about but I definitely felt judged... I don't get why she just stood there staring at me after I thanked her !! She didn't even say anything... After staring at me for a solid few seconds she just walked off , the barista behind the bar ignored us too when we thanked him . The drinks are good though , the sandwiches however ? Are just ..sad , they barely put anything at all on mine, like ah yes a single leaf and tiny piece of meat .. love it. The food was lacking in every possible way , tastes okay I guess ? But she barely put anything on it so who knows what it's supposed to taste like , also it doesn't at all reflect what the menu said the sandwich has or would be like. But then again , my fault for believing the menu directly next to the register would be accurate. Tldr: disappointing experience , most likely will not be back...
Read moreWe popped in for small bites and a power-up. My partner got a latte and I ordered herbal tea. We're both vegan and I'm caffeine intolerant, so there's always lots to consider when going out. Thankfully in our own neighborhood is this shop that offers vegan treats and herbal tea options without mint 🙌.
We grabbed a cozy table in the corner while we waited for our drinks and pastries. For how busy they were, the two folks working hustled out orders pretty quickly!
Our drinks were very tasty and exactly what we wanted. The pastries were also perfect. Very dense, but perfectly paired for me tea. Looking forward to returning.
And the people-watching is great. Lots of folks coming in with their cute doggos. Seeing the pups excited to see their favorite baristas...
Read moreMy partner and I liked the coffee here so much, we came back to buy a bag of beans from them! When we visited the other day, we asked what they had going for drip because we were looking for roasters in the PDX area that offered single origin coffee. The flavor profile the staff described for the drip that day was accurate, and it tastes just the same at home.
The cafe itself is a bit small but has adequate space for people to get around if it gets a little crowded. We didn't get any food, so we can't...
