Update: 3/8/24 - I decided to use the free pizza reward that they gave me on my last order because of the screw up. This was the final nail in the coffin. I will never order here again. I ordered pepperoni and sausage on one half and just cheese the other half (for my kids). The pizza came with pepperoni on one side and sausage on the other side.. that’s not what I ordered! So I ended up having to pull the sausage off of one side for my kids. The problem with that is when you take the sausage off, it pulls off the cheese with it… but wait, there’s more! Half of the pizza looks like the driver got hungry and pulled the crust off for himself (see pic). Why the heck would send a pizza out for delivery that isn’t complete? The pizza also has extra sauce which I did not order. The extra sauce added some spice. So my kids won’t eat it. This place needs to get it together. Papa John’s it is.
Original Review: Not sure what happened recently. We always order from this location. Never had a complaint but tonight our pizza was not good. It’s hard to explain but the crust was almost as if it had been recooked. It was hard and had the texture of a frozen pizza. There was also chunks of doe that stuck to the bottom of the pizza. You can tell whoever made the pizza had a dirty prep space. Also, I never thought I would ever say this but there was WAY TOO MUCH cheese. It made it impossible to eat unless with a fork. Even my 5 and 7 yr old would not eat it which is crazy! My best guess is they repurposed a pizza that had already been made. They basically tossed on more cheese and added sausage to one half and popped it back in the oven until melted. That would explain the crust being harder and frozen like. Also explains the crazy amount of cheese. Not sure I’m willing to risk it again at this location. The pizza seriously tasted like a day...
Read moreMy experience today with Domino's pizza was HORRIBLE! The person taking my order over the phone, had no idea what she was doing! I had to ask, for whatever special deals they presently have 3 different times. She was literally having a conversation, with her co-worker. The same exact time, that she was taking my order. How do I know this you ask? I was literally sitting in my car, right outside the counter. I could plainly see EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. When I asked for a Military discount, they laughed amongst themselves. The she said, "no, we don't have a military discount"! When they FINALLY brought me my order, it was incomplete. The person had to go back into the store 2 different times. When we got home, and settled down to eat. This was even more SHOCKING! The so cal garlic knots, we're swimming in a puddle of garlic NASTINESS. The pizzas looked like they were cut by a three (3) year old. NO two (2) pieces were the same size. There were also BURNT, and overly seasoned with garlic. The so called cinnamon twists, or whatever they are called. Were also multi sized unsavory pieces of dough, that were also overly seasoned with cinnamon. The ONLY thing that was not ruined, was the 2 liter bottle of sprite. That we didn't want, nor did they offer a substitute. Overall, this visit was a NEGATIVE 20! The food was NASTY, the service was non existant ! I will NEVER, eat another pizza from domino's ever again. Especially from this domino's at 2616 Airline Blvd, in Portsmouth, VA 23701. I will most assuredly, let EVERYONE that I know, to NOT buy ANYTHING from domino's ever again, SPECIFICALLY this domino's in Portsmouth, VA 23701.

Read moreOrdered two large pies at 6:13pm for curbside delivery, The website said the estimated time for pickup was between 6:45pm-6:55pm. So I show up around 6:40 and waited, the website stated that my order was being prepped since the time I had placed the order. I go in at 7:07pm to check on the status because the website still said prepping. I was told that the order wasn't even in the oven and they could not give me a time for when it would be ready. I went back to the car and waited, two people gave up and went somewhere else. At 7:17pm the website updated to say that the pizza was In the oven and my order was run out to my car at 7:25pm, over an hour after I placed the order. I get that it's new years day, I get that staffing all over the place isn't preferable and I appreciate that the workers that were there showed up, but even a simple update or communication with the customer so they know what's going on would be nice. Also, they are clearly running the tracker so they don't get in trouble, there is no way that the pizza was put in the oven, baked to the degree that is was, checked, boxed, then run out to my car in the course of 7 minutes. I hadn't been back to dominoes in some time because the last time I had gone it was equally bad, and that was at a different location. I won't be going back, I only attempted today because I was given a gift card for X-Mas. I plan to tell the individual who got me the card not to waste their money on...
