You should support this business. I wanted to get a bunch of tapas ordered for a dinner party, so I reached out (probably annoyingly) to The Table via email and Instagram. The owner, D, replied to both very quickly and we sorted out plans. The day I needed the food, upon not reaching anyone when I called, I sent another email. D messaged back and told me to call again and she picked up immediately.
I order several items off the menu: Scallops- 10/10, these were excellent and above average size. Chicken Wings- Honey Garlic- 7/10- as expected; Buffalo- 8/10 this one had a pleasant bit of kick to it. Standard size. Steak Bites- 4/10 These were well done on accident and we were short on time. Im positive if I had time and asked, D would have re-done them with no issue. Could easily see them being great if tender. Standard size. House Salad- 6/10 Standard salad, good ranch dressing. Standard size also. Salmon Bites- 8/10, these were also good like Scallops, a bit small though. Chicken Alfredo- 9/10, LOVED this- but I am a fan of creamy alfredo sauce; if you do not like creamy sauce, you probably wont be a fan. Chicken was great too. Garlic bread included, was good. This was a regualr meal sized portion (not really a tapa). Fried Shrimp- 8/10 great shirmp, tasty. As labeled, these are 'colossal'. Chicken Salad Sliders- 8/10 the chicken salad was AMAZING. The slider, I dont think is the right delivery vehicle (but I dont have a solution). I know that the sandwich took away from the chicken salad. Maybe a wrap type of thing? Fries were more like home fries/potato chunks, which were good. 2 standard sized sliders and a few large spoonfuls of potatos. Rasta Pasta (side)- 8/10 Surprisingly super spicy. I didnt know what this was coming into it, but it was great. This was in those standard take out round cylndrical contains- much more than I was expecting.
TLDR- Seafood here is excellent and other food is above average. This coupled with some of the best customer service I have ever had, I would return here in...
Read moreI was passing through Portsmouth and remembered someone telling me about The Table. I stopped by and from the outside I was unsure they were open, but as soon as my mom and I walked in, we were greeted with the biggest smile by the owner. The customer service was great. The place was beautiful and cozy. We sat at the bar to order our take out and chatted like we had known them for a while. They offered us water and let us taste the freshly made " Not your mamas punch" Whew! It was soooo tasty!! We ordered the fish dinner with potatoes and asparagus. And also the liver and cheesecake. Every single thing was delicious and fresh! She told us she wanted to create a place for people to come enjoy, talk, eat, and put it all on The Table, and she has done that! We will certainly be back! ( By time i remembered to take a picture of the food, it was gone. lol....
Read moreI had a okay experience at The Table. The wait time was ridiculously long tonight. We were the only table and we waited for over an hour for our food. All of my party didn't even eat together because the food took so long to come out. The staff constantly had to be reminded to bring out utensils and napkins. As well as forgotten food items. I felt as though the food was over priced for the portions received. There is an automatic gratuity of 13%. Nowhere was the gratuity mentioned on the menu. Nor was it told to my party at any point. The servers were nice and accommodating. The ambiance was nice and the music was good. The food was alright but it wasn't worth the...
