Great Rhythm Brewing Company in Portsmouth, NH for a few pours of three different styles. Far from being my first time here, but the first time I've been here since I started my page. May of 2022 was the last time I was here & everything seemed to be the same as I remember. The beers here have always been great & their IPAs are standouts in the area with SQUEEZE, DOUBLE SQUEEZE & TROPICAL HAZE being a couple beers I've always been a big fan of. This time around I scooped a lager, IPA & stout to cover the gambit. 🍻🍻
I started out with a pint of the NORTH BEACH MEXICAN LAGER which was good & a above average light beer. I then moved onto SOUNDCHECK 5 IPA which was good, but not my favorite of the series I've had over the years. I finished off the trip with a delicious 10% Baltic porter called BLACK VINYL which was my favorite of the three pours I got this trip. 🍻💪🔥
I remember sitting outside my last time here in May of 2022, but this trip in late December it was too brisk to sit out by the water. The taproom inside has tables, hightops & some rail seating as well. It's not a super big place inside but has a good bright aesthetic for being a brewery in a industrial area. Our beertender was cool & chatted with us briefly since we were the only ones in there at the time, I unfortunately forgot to get her name. Overall another good experience here beer & service wise, can't wait to get back here again in the future. 🍻🍻🔥☘☘
BEERGASM RATING - STILL SEXY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS 🍻🍻🍆🍆🍆💦💦💤💤

Read moreI rarely post reviews about places I work (in case people feel as though it renders a review biased), however in the unique case of Great Rhythm I simply cannot move away from the area without giving them a review. I'm moving back up to Burlington, VT (the mecca of the New England craft brewing scene, and where I gained knowledge about this industry in general), so unfortunately my time here has come to an end. Having become well acquainted with every beer and every aspect of this business, I can honestly say that their products are outstanding and their execution (from a service industry standpoint) is exemplary. Every inch of the business is absolutely spotless, due to extensive cleaning (a practice most bars are unfortunately lacking when it comes to NE style IPAs), and the owners always ensure that their staff are the best individuals they can find to represent their company. Hazy, fruity, flavorful and fresh IPAs coupled with exceptionally kind, knowledgeable and attentive staff not only makes the experience of working here pleasurable, but as a customer it ensures a feeling of community, comfort, and relaxation. Great Rhythm is the perfect place to hang with friends, bring a lunch or dinner by and have a flight, do some work on a laptop on one of the couches, or just casually look out the window at the water just outside. If you like NE style IPAs, enjoy supporting local business run by kindhearted, caring and professional individuals, and are looking to dive into the growing seacoast brewing scene, Great Rhythm is a perfect...
Read moreGood beer, which is obviously the idea, but i cannot get away from the feeling of it being a Starbucks style transaction. you cant talk to someone with the pure love of beer when your making a selection, no server to discuss the product. the operation is quite marvelous to see, obviously setup very well for large distribution, but the seating inside, while bright and sunny, doesn't give you a lot of room to even move about, not relax. very tight quarters.
my wife and i went outside to the outside seating, which at night must be gorgeous id imagine! much more relaxed atmosphere outside.
they made two incredible sours, and their IPA is great, so for those who aren't an IPA fan, they have an offering for you, but its not a huge variety on tap. They have some of their canned options available, but who goes to a live taproom style breweries for...
