When this place first opened it was booming. They have since changed there ways in service. Everything started having less portions on your meal. When you got double chicken it was like having only one serving. I got my hopes up yesterday because my meal was some how perfect the portion sizes were on point and my meal filled me up so much I couldn't eat it all. It had more chicken then rice which is perfect. So I went back the next day cause I had a free small queso dip that they advertised on facebook. Below are the two pictures, one of the advertised small they they make you believe you're getting and 2 the reality. On top of this my burrito was folded wrong and everything came out of it because guess what the portions were all wrong. Not enough meat and too much rice.might as well had a rice burrito. Idk weather to keep going back or just screw this place all together because on top of all these problems your charge a pretty big amount for food here. You can walk out with 1 burrito and a drink and pay $13.00 so yeah. All I can say is Hot Heads in Portsmouth, OH, I gave you so many chances. Now fixed it.

As a business owner myself - I did every attempt to not leave a negative review. I contacted an employee, Facebook Messenger and email. No response or care. I visited Hot Head Burritos on Feb 7th at 1:00. I was hungry and I already eat fast… 3/4 through my bowl I noticed there was a strange texture/taste. Turned out my chicken was fully raw. 24 hours later, I developed an extreme fever and the sickness lasted 6 days. Salmonella is real, and it was an awful experience. Since nobody within the company cared, I feel obligated to share my experience so it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

This location has been significantly been declining over the last year. Just ordered large burrito bowl that was a joke. wasn't even enough to fill a small bowl, but yet charged me large bowl price. I don't think employees know how to property make a bowl. I don't know if management or proper employee training is the issue, but somethings got to give. Unit then, I wont be back. Its not worth spending the amount of money for what you get there. In the pic, you can clearly see around all the sides of the bowl and part of the bottom. Rip off to say the least!!!!!

Where to begin? This complaint is for food and customer service. The older lady who was working at the portsmouth store 4/4/2020 @ 1pm (she said she usually works in waverly location) was super unprofessional. I showed up at 1pm for my scheduled pick up time. They were a little busy so I was understanding. So I waited there as she finished up the order she was making when I walked in and as I waited 3 other customers come in behind me. She then decided to build and cash out the 1st person who came in behind me. Then she decided to make my order. She gets done putting the meats on the burrito then stops and goes back to get the other 2 orders while leaving my order on the counter open faced. She then puts the veggies on their orders and rings them up. Then she goes back and finally finishes my order. She forgot to toast them (it was on receipt) before putting them in the bag and upon my request for her to toast them got mad and gave me an attitude. Then when I said I wanted one of the 2 burritos in my order lightly toasted (just toasting it for less time) she ridiculed me and went ahead to toast it thoroughly anyway. All total wait time 37 minutes!!! I understand that there are 2 employees there but it should never take 37 minutes to complete an order that only had 2 customers ahead of them. As I stated she instead went ahead and made 3 other seperate orders that came in after me. Then to top it off the order was wrong! She literally had the ingredients for the order in her face and still messed it up. She put on corn when neither burrito had it. She mixed the ingredients of the 2 burritos up completely. This was absolutly infuriating and just an absolute waste of money.

If I could give 0...

I don't have a photo of my mess of a burrito but my experience here was awful. We saw Mondays deal after 5 of buy 2 burrito or bowl for $15.99. I haven't been to this place in over 3 years bc my experience then was terrible too but thought I'd give it another try since it was during the pandemic hype. Anyways, back to the deal. We went to order our food and wasn't sure how to order but I got a burrito and my husband a bowl. I pretty much had everything with chicken and beef put in my burrito. When the girl went to wrap it, she didn't know how and just rolled one side and then flipped it over the rest of the burrito. It wasn't rolled at all! When we went to pay, with 2 drinks she rang up a total of $38.00! There is no way it should of been that much. We had her correct it and then told us we still had to pay for the quaso and quac when they didn't tell us it was extra in the first place! It was all together with all the other ingredients. 😡 We ended up paying what we needed but the girl just kept saying "that's all I can do". She was moody as was the guy there too. Like, we were trying not to pay for our food and she was doing us a favor. We should of walker out then bc No mam, it's what is owed and that's it. I feel they were trying to scam us. Other people are probably coming in there probably are getting ripped off too unknowingly. The food tasted nasty too. It was tasteless and even with the sauces it wasn't good! My burrito fell completely apart onto my plate and I didn't even get to eat the tortilla bc I have to just scrape what I could out of it. We were the only people sitting inside and now I see why. I was so disappointed in this experience. We will not...

4 stars on google made this place seem a little hyped up. After reviewing this place for myself, the only thing that was 4 star was the price. 31 dollars for 2 burritos 2 chips 2 drinks 1 added guac and some queso. This place was like a moe's or a chipotle that emphasizes hot sauce. Take a moe's burrito and put hot sauce in the meat and you have hot heads. As for the service, they had a lot less workers than moe's. One person prepared our whole meal single handedly while the only other worker was prepping. His burrito wrap game was a little sloppy but he did a good job at pretending like his job wasn't aggravating him to death which is more than you get at most places.

The food was good on the spice level, however, I wish it didnt have the vinegary taste of hot sauce or pickled jalapenos. This was a really disappointing taste to have in the meat but even worse in the salsa for the chips. The queso was more like a velveeta situation but the chile con queso was a good doctoring to the velveeta.

To wrap this up, hopefully better than my girlfriends burrito, the price was too high for a moe's knock off. The food was ok if you aren't too picky and may be worth a try if you don't have to worry...
