Receiving a BCI of 87, the Village Grill delivers reliable Mediterranean comfort food with plenty of halal and vegetarian choices, a solid kids’ menu, and approachable prices. It’s not fine dining, but as a neighborhood staple it checks all the boxes: good food, friendly service, and inclusivity.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with indoor seating that feels cozy and an outdoor patio perfect for people-watching in Great Falls. Accessibility is wheelchair-friendly, parking right out front, and gender-neutral restrooms.
The menu covers a lot of ground. Halal meats dominate the kebabs and gyros (31% of all entrées), vegetarian plates are well represented (16%), and several items can be adapted gluten-free, though there are no codes like GF or V listed—you’ll need to ask the staff. Kids get their own menu (~11% of offerings) with smaller portions like chicken tenders, gyro wraps, and pita pizza.
Service is consistently friendly and efficient, whether dining in or picking up takeout. Prices run $10–20 per entrée, which is excellent value for the quality and portion sizes.
Best picks: gyros, kebab platters, falafel wrap, and baklava for dessert.
The Brodbeck Confidence Index (BCI 2.0) measures consistency across food, service, atmosphere, accessibility, and value, and translates that into a simple probability: an 87% likelihood that a guest will enjoy an...
Read moreDecent - but we will need to explore more of the menu. The koobideh (ground beef kabob) is not that juicy and almost tasted reheated as opposed to freshly cooked. Later, when looking into the open kitchen, I saw a tray of what appeared to be koobideh coming out of the oven. In looking at photos from other reviewers, I do not see charred marks on any of them so that would align to what I saw. In photos the chicken chunks appear charred so next time I will try ordering that (we live very close by so I'm sure we will be back). Pita bread was warmed but we prefer the meat, rice and freshly cooked bread from Grill Kabob. We also ordered chicken tenders and fries for our son and the fries were unsalted. They were served with very small portions of ketchup and honey mustard (each half full of the smallest condiment container). This was our second time and the first time we ordered koobideh as well and thought it might have just been overcooked or something, but this time I payed more attention.
From other comment responses I see the owner says they try to provide healthy food to their guests. Perhaps the meat used is leaner and that also could explain the rice that didn't appear to have much or any oil. Might also explain the lack of salt on the fries.
First time we dined inside, the second time we...
Read moreWhile visiting with friends in Great falls Va., we had the pleasure of stopping for lunch at a local eatery. We were craving some Middle Eastern fare and friend suggested the Village Grill, located in Great Falls Village. Do not be fooled by the fact that it serves pizza! Inside we feasted on a treasure trove of freshly made food, choc full of the most flavorful ingredients. As we have frequented many restaurants that serve similar fare, none compared to the Village Grille. They offer an array of Turkish/Persian delights. The owners greeted us warmly and welcomed us as if we were in their home. We highly recommend the Mezza platter which consisted of Dolma, hummus, baba ghanoosh and musto museer served with homemade bread to die for! We followed this this with an array of savory kabobs and rice. It was so delicious and memorable we went back the next day for lunch. This eatery is worthy of a visit from the Food Network! Casual atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced!! Highly recommend it. Chris C NJ Patty M...
