Although end of an era from KFC across the street, here comes Raising Cane’s as the latest addition to Poway. It’s not exactly fried chicken but boneless chicken tenders. It’s a chain and there are several locations in San Diego. It was my first time and I didn’t know what to expect. Drive thru and dining in was busy from grand opening week. They had no shortage of staff and they were available both inside and outside. They were all around high school/college age but very professional and polite. I ordered The Caniac Combo. The combo came w 6 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, slaw, two sauces and drink for $18.79. I was really impressed at the quality, size, juiciness and crunchiness. The combo was priced right and I think I’m hooked!

You know not trying to be extra but how do I order 2 extra toast and you forget to put toast in my original combo, cool glad I got the extra and I shouldn't be mad or whatever but its disappointing things happen I get that but its just confusing. The fries tasted over salted. Im only mad becuase I was at the mira mesa location but chose to come here since it was closer to home thats on me things happen its not the end of the world. I really think I wouldnt have cared but was also here on opening day paid for extra sauce and didnt get my extra sauces and again no big whoop they just opened and are figuring things out I shouldn't be mad I know that but dayum man its disappointing.... chicken was good for what its worth everyone is nice at the location.

Five stars all day. The food was amazing as always restaurant was super clean including the bathroom. My six-year-old spilled a drink outside and the staff was so friendly and made him feel OK about spilling his drink. I wish I would’ve got his name but he told my son it’s basically just water and it’s hot outside so it’s gonna dry in a minute.

I’ve been to The Stowaway Diner three times in the last two weeks and I’m not even embarrassed. I’m officially addicted to their breakfast hash—crispy potatoes, caramelized onions, pulled pork, poached egg, and some kind of magic sauce that ties it all together. I also love that they have actual real maple syrup, not the fake stuff. Bonus: they have vegan and gluten-free options for my picky roommate. It’s cozy, clean, and you can tell the staff genuinely like...
