We have been going to this place for 4 years twice a month .. today I wanted to treat my friend for lunch , we were a party of four and had my baby in a stroller with me ..after we ordered we asked the waitress to be seated at the available middle table where I usually sit and it's a perfect space for the stroller and for me sitting in a position I can also feed my baby ..however the waitress kept giving nonesense reason not to seat us where there is plenty of available space and insisted to seat us at the back of the place by the curtain to the storage and insisted that the stroller is perfect there .. we struggled pushing the stroller by the chairs ..she also suggested I can put the stroller by the coffee bar ..I answered it's not safe to put a baby just by the people walking with their cups of boiling hot coffee.
My friend figured out immediately that all what this waitress wanted to say was babies and families are unwelcomed
Truly shame!
As for the food the salmon crepes was terrible compared to previous times , the fish was cold, the crepes was chewy...
Read moreMy husband and I came in for Valentine's dinner. It was quite crowded, but we didn't have to wait long for a table... maybe 10-15 minutes.
The tables are really crammed in there- that is probably the only thing I didn't love about it. Also, having a hook for coats/purses might be helpful since it's so squishy. The staff were all so friendly, and that made up for it.
We started with the lamb meatballs and the beet/goat cheese salad. Both were delicious, but I especially loved the salad!! My husband ordered the Salmon entree, and I ordered the Valentine's special: braised short rib. The salmon was so perfectly seared and the flavors were amazing. The braised short rib was perfection! (I would've liked a bit more of the promised horseradish in the puree, but still yummy). The glaze on the meat was amazing!! We finished with a Hazelnut entremet, that was to die for! I would definitely go back, just for this dessert lol.
Perfect meal! Thank you for all who worked on the holiday, so we...
Read moreI usually go to the French Market to shop for "grab and go" food. I've always been satisfied with the food quality, selection, and prices. But my review is about the dine-in experience and I was very disappointed when I had an early dinner there with a friend on a Tuesday evening. We were planning on having dinner between 5:00 and 6:00 pm so I checked the wait time which was reported as none to very little ("Come Now!). So we went there shortly after I received the message. The dining room was crowded and there was only one table available. The tables are so closely spaced together so we had to squeeze in to sit down. We could barely hear each other speak over the conversations at the tables for four on either side of ours. We were looking forward to a relaxing early dinner on a weekday night, but the experience was so unpleasant that we quickly ordered, ate, and took part of our meal home. I will continue to shop in the market but do not plan to dine in the...
