I've been wanting to try Rise for awhile now and I finally made it this past Sunday and it did not disappoint.

I'd like to give it five stars, but there were a few things that I think held it back, but may be worth an edit the next time I visit.

I had the "Which Came First". The chicken was perfect, tender, juicy, crispy, everything. It stole the show, honestly. From there, the biscuit was fluffy, the egg was an egg, and the gravy was creamy. I could have used a little salt in the gravy, but it was still quite good.

In the second pic, those are cheese tots. They were cheesy and hot and crispy and a great side item to have with the B&G.

My girlfriend and I wanted a cinnamon roll, and our order went through, but we were informed after the fact that they were out. Regardless, they offered an instant refund or one of each of the jelly filled and the cream filled creme brulee donut, which we accepted. The couple we were eating with had gotten their cinnamon roll and so we did some sharing. All four of us agreed that the Creme Brulee donut was the best dessert we all tried.

Everyone else enjoyed their food, but I did not get any comments or thoughts on their food last that. All I know is all the food we ordered was gone at the end.

The experience was good, if a little hectic. I wasn't aware when I arrived, but this is not a sit down and order place. You enter and there are two lines, the one manned by an employee and the self serve kiosk. The line for the manned station was almost out the door, so we went self serve and would do it again.

You make your selections similar to a door dash app, check out, and pay right there. It was very convenient. As mentioned, the place was packed, but if people aren't selfish and wait til they have their order to claim a seat, it seemed to work out for seating as orders came up.

Lastly, and this one is probably hit or miss with people, but the drink selection is pretty poor. Obviously it's a business decision and not mine to make; but I don't want to buy a 12 oz bottle of tea. I drink a lot of tea and they didn't brew any, just sold bottles, which is not cost effective for me. I had already purchased a drink by this point, and the fountain options were few and far between.

Overall, a great Sunday brunch experience, but not quite 5* for me. I will definitely be heading back to try some of the other biscuit and...

Having been to the “main” ones after living in Durham, NC, I knew what to expect from a food standpoint. But the other aspects of this place is why I won’t be returning. The person at the counter was ambivalent to the point of upset that I asked her for my coffee cup as I ordered from the kiosk. Maybe because she had her AirPod in her ear instead of helping a customer? Also, it was 1pm and no coffee. Or rather, only a little bit left as the woman took it away, and I was wanting to refill. They close at 2pm but no coffee at a breakfast-ish place? That seems like a sin. ☹️ Additionally, having been to other rise locations in NC, these places get dirty quickly; I think with biscuits and whatnot. However, this particular Rise was not very clean with (terrible—my opinion) music playing waaaay too loudly. Food was fair at best, just as I remember it. Maybe it was just better because it used to be fast and easy after working an overnight shift at a hospital? Thinking back to my experience in Durham, many southerners didn’t really like Rise other than the convenience factor. But I digress.

All in all, a fair experience in comparison to other fast food breakfast and in comparison to other Rise places. I don’t not recommend if you’re looking for something Southern. Rather, there are just better choices than this place on a few...

I would love to rate this place higher but after going several time in the past few weeks i feel I have a good opinion at this point.... The biscuits are hit and miss, sometimes perfect, most of the time underdone and somwhat doughy and unpleasant to eat, the glazed blueberry biscuit is pretty reliably done through though, and delicious. Their chocolate cake doughnuts with sprinkles are absolutely to die for amazing. But their tots even though they're listed as "seasoned" are really just bland tater tots with maybe some salt on them, woop de doo! Ultimately I will continue to go despite them being a bit on high end price wise, but i know better now what to order and what not to order.

Staff is always friendly providing the finished order, but rarely ever welcoming, ive only been greeted once walking through their front door, the ipads for orders are convenient, but sometimes (rarely) i do actually want to people and talk to someone.

I give it a 3.5 out of 5,but i can only...

Changing my one star review to FIVE. I did receive a two week expired milk from this restaurant, but Mr Ryan Cook was quickly responsive and made the error right. Customer service is astounding and food is always delicious. They just need to quality check better. This was originally one star, then I changed to three, but I have to give them five stars. I love the food as always & even though this is not an ideal incident, Ryan Cook is astounding when it comes to customer service. He has been working with Uber to issue me a full refund and has been keeping me updated for over a week and continuing to reach out to me. I did end up getting my refund, and I appreciate the lengths he went to to make this right. Thank you! I will of course order again in the future

I have been wanting to go this place ever since seeing it was moving in. Before school was looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast didn’t know about this place was like but online it look quick. It was order by the counter style you get a choice of ordering from a tablet or person. I just got there simple chicken biscuit with an added sweet potato spread because that sounded amazing!! It was used instead of sauce right in the biscuit. Anytime I get chicken and mash potatoes I make myself a sandwich like this but by using yams instead it gave a little sweetness to the crispy chicken. Not only will I be back again to eat in the clean inside or patio seating I know I can get something quick if I don’t have a lot of time. Love it!
