It is wonderful to have a business open again after 4 1/2 months of closure. We miss our small town "Cheers" type bar atmosphere, where almost everyone knew our names; however, we are happy to see more food options and YES a tap that has varied selection too. It was crazy busy all weekend for opening with standing room only so we did not order food as we did not have time to wait that long with such a huge crowd. We just had a few drinks and the prices were reasonable which is what is expected in Wisconsin bars. We will return on a weekday to order some burgers or a pizza. We are happy to know that frozen pizzas are a thing of the past. Lots of big tv's and an outdoor patio for next summer will be nice for Packers games. I couldn't give five stars because I am concerned about the very crowded kitchen condition with lots of workers in a very small space. Perhaps the bar should have been made a bit smaller to provide for the added kitchen equipment and make it safer for workers who are not only using deep fryers, but also operating pizza ovens and burger presses. Good luck to the owners and welcome to town. All of the staff so far have been very friendly so that is wonderful to see too. I did return for a burger on 5/29. I must say I was pleased with the quick delivery and correct cooking of the meat. I normally get undercooked meat even when I say "no pink" and this time, you go it right so THANK YOU. I really will send back undercooked meat and poultry every time! I must say also the food was better than the service today. It was not very busy considering it was a holiday. The server came back by my table at least five times and never asked me for a drink refill, or offer a tab. I had to find him to ask for both. I think considering you have pizzas and burgers with sauces which I consider "messy" foods, save the wait staff the steps and interruptions and place napkin holders full on tables to save on the frustration of guests too. I was served my meal with no silverware and not even one napkin when the meal clearly was one that needed napkins for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast night I watched one of their cooks clean the flat top grill after kitchen close and he was scrubbing it for no joke like 25 minutes. I thought it looked pretty clean, and then he just kept getting it cleaner and cleaner. Iāve never seen anyone get something so clean in my entire life. I was stunned. He was cleaning the kitchen as though royal dignitaries were coming to dine here. And I noticed the vents above the grill were also like, insanely clean. So yeah, I didnāt even eat here, I was just drinking beer, but Iāve gotta say, this is prolly the cleanest kitchen Iāve ever seen in my life, so, nice job....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe decided to try this place out for lunch. I'm glad we went. It's a bit shocking to see the old Broadstreet location look so updated but I'm all for it. The burgers came out quick and were excellent. Super fresh ingredients but be prepared to give them a little smash if you loaded it up.
Last thing, it's no secret that the restauranteurs who own this place know how to run a restaurant. They wouldn't have several dotting the St. Croix if they didn't. A big factor in this is service and they nail it. Service was accommodating from the moment we walked in. Sam,...
