UPDATE: here it is approximately a month later and I found myself tired and hungry and on that side of town so I stopped at Wendy's for dinner to take home... Ordered the Pretzel Baconator with extra bacon... when I arrived at the drive up window, I politely asked the young man to please confirm that the burger was made correctly, let him know that as is it should have 6 pieces of bacon, and because I ordered the extra there should be a total of 9 pieces... explained that I was asking him to please check/confirm because every time, the burger as is, is only coming with 5 pieces, and half the time I don't even get the extra bacon I am charged for, his response: "yea, sometimes it happens, but it was done right" ... I let him know that, that response isn't really appropriate and every time isn't "sometimes"... While I was asking the young man to check and explaining why, a guy came from the direction of the kitchen and was standing far enough away from the drive-thru window that I couldn't hear him speaking, but by the way he was looking at me, flailing his arms around, and the look on his face, he clearly wasn't happy that I was asking for confirmation that I was actually going to get what I was paying for! FYI- The Baconator ordered this evening with the extra bacon... ONLY came with 8 pieces... so as per usual they didn't prepare the burger as they should have and I didn't get what I paid for!
Clearly this Wendy's needs ALL STAFF to review it's QUALITY CONTROL GUIDELLINES and the product descriptions... pretty sure they don't say:
short the customer on product and add-ons that they pay for show lack of concern for errors made, and don't correct them steal money from the customer by charging them for add-ons that aren't actually added on prepare the food anyway you want and forget the actual product prep guidelines burn and over salt the fries ... the list goes on! Who cares what the publicly published product standards/descriptions say!
See ya later Wendy ... Hello In-n-Out!!
Original post from a approximately a month ago:
They seriously need to retrain the majority of the staff from front of house to back! FYI- The Baconator comes with a standard of SIX (6) pieces of Bacon... not 4 or 5... and when a customer orders extra bacon (3 pieces) it should come with NO LESS than NINE (9) pieces. You should NEVER be able to squeeze liquid from the bottom bun and the top bun should not be glazed with grease! The fries are so salty they make your mouth burn after a few bites... on certain nights when one particular supervisor is there, they are basically burnt and if you order a large fries... you'll be lucky if the box is only half full! The staff that handle the drive through are for the most part ok... but there are a few that need to learn NOT to interrupt the customer while the customer is trying to order... once the customer is done speaking, then ask questions that weren't answered! Arriving at the drive thru window is never pleasant when the person handing you your beverage is surly and sloppy and shows nothing but contempt for having to even be there. I've spent more on extra bacon that I never get, than I care to count, not to mention being shorted 1-2 pieces of the bacon that should actually come on the burger when ordered as is. The salt on the fries is OVERKILL! Even after dusting each fry off, they are still salty... feel free to cut the numbers of passes of the salt shaker to half and they will be fine! This Wendy's opened strong and they are falling FAST... get it...
Read moreWendy's, the newest addition to our town's fast-food scene, comes wrapped in a shiny, modern package. Nestled within a sleek, brand-new building, the restaurant boasts a contemporary vibe that catches the eye. However, while the establishment has potential, there are a few aspects that prevent it from truly shining.
Upon its grand opening, it was evident that the corporate touch was present, as the initial weeks saw a level of efficiency and friendliness that exceeded typical fast-food standards. The attentive staff and seamless service were a breath of fresh air, reflecting the extra care taken during this early period.
Unfortunately, as the initial charm fades and the weeks pass, it becomes apparent that the novelty isn't matched by consistent performance. The food, while satisfying for fast-food fare, doesn't transcend the expected quality, hovering at best within the realm of standard offerings.
Moreover, the transition from the corporate-assisted launch to the normal operations of a fast-food restaurant highlights the challenges that come with training new staff members. The once-eager team begins to show signs of inexperience, resulting in service that's less warm and efficient than before. This dip in quality detracts from the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, the new Wendy's location undoubtedly flaunts an inviting, modern exterior that initially captures attention. However, a closer inspection reveals that the allure diminishes over time. With food that remains firmly within the realm of expected fast-food quality and a staff that struggles to maintain the same level of enthusiasm and expertise after the corporate touch has faded, this establishment earns a respectable but underwhelming 3 out of 5. There's potential for improvement, and we hope that as the team gains more experience, Wendy's will grow into the promising venue it...
Read moreI am a Wendy's fan, but wow this one is really hit or miss.
I usually order online through the app to pick up through the drive-thru, and I've had to pull past the window and wait like 10 minutes even with ordering ahead. It just depends on the time of day, but I feel like that probably shouldn't happen lol.
There is always a 50/50 chance they'll forget something, so be sure to triple check your food. Quality in food also really varies.
Some of the staff is super rude. There is the kid who wears sunglasses during night shift at the drive thru... and then last time we went through the drive thru, the employee literally only talked to our dog at first and then she reached into our car to give him a chicken nugget without asking. Luckily he's a nice dog and we stopped her from totally reaching into the car, but yikes... (We would have said yes and we gave the nugget to him, but ya know, common courtesy would be to say hello to the humans first. She looked at the dog and then walked away and tried to get vanilla frosty for him but they were out, so then she grabbed the nugget. All before asking us or saying hi to us 💀)
Some of the staff is very nice & the app gives you hella savings...
