The food is decent and I only say that because IT FINALLY SHOWED UP and I'm starving.. We waited 2 hours for food and were constantly called and asked if we wanted to pick up our food... what kind of service is this that the business who clearly says (online) they deliver WITHOUT delivery fees or minimums calls and says the next time we order there is a 50 dollar minimum? I want to explain that we first ordered online and then we called in to make sure the order was received and that this was all good to go and that there would be no problems. NEVER were we told that this business does not deliver to our area and never were we told that this order was not acceptable for the business. Everything is separate which is fine I've dined at places like this but we ordered 3 pork roll sandwiches where the pork roll was hardly cooked and actually just looked like bologna. Also We asked for sandwiches to be on wraps and they didn't even do that correct.. The price of this entire order was kept a secret from us ( even though we asked a few times on the many calls that we got from this business) until the delivery driver showed up.... NEVER AGAIN...
UPDATE - they called after they delivered because we put this review up and they wanted to tell us how "inaccurate" our review was and no we did not answer because we don't take kindly to bullying from companies. Attached is one sandwich we took a picture of before throwing it away.... Does this look like pork roll to you? Does it look cooked? I'm sorry to all of you in Princeton who have come to this state expecting an authentic pork roll sandwich but you won't be getting it at the Princeton soup and sandwich.
Downtown Princeton is 10 minutes from our location and the fact that you whine and complain about the distance is out of control and you really need to rethink your business approach if you think coming here to "correct" my review makes your business look good. Yes never again will you have to deliver in the rain because I promise you we could have made you good business but I doubt even the people that suggested you guys to us will even return.
Have a great weekend I really hope I don't hear...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to make an exception for Princeton Soup & Sandwich because my experience was truly phenomenal. I picked up a medium-sized order for a few people, including myself, and while there was a small issue with my food, I wasn’t upset—I understand that things happen.
When I called the restaurant, the person who answered was incredibly professional and helpful. He asked me to send pictures so he could take a look. Shortly after, I called back to confirm if he had received them, and he reassured me that he had reviewed everything. Without hesitation, he offered me either a refund or a replacement. Since I couldn’t leave work again, I opted for the refund, expecting it to only cover my portion of the meal.
To my surprise, I received a notification that the entire order—three other meals included—had been fully refunded. Stunned, I called back and spoke to the same person, who introduced himself as Nick. When I asked why he went above and beyond, his response was simple yet powerful: Your feedback matters more than the money.
In a time when kindness goes a long way, this act of exceptional customer service truly stood out. I felt compelled to share my experience because people like Nick make a real difference. If you haven’t been to Princeton Soup & Sandwich yet, I highly recommend it—not just for the great food, but for the top-tier service that makes you feel valued as a customer.
Thank you, Nick!...
Read moreService was super fast and polite. I ordered a “kids” size soup (8oz for $5) and they gave me crackers, a spoon, and a big wad of napkins with it. They also taped the lid onto the container, which I thought was so nifty and super helpful. (The tape was even cutely branded with the restaurant logo!) I was able to trek around Princeton with a backpack full of soup for an hour, eat another hour after that, and my backpack was perfectly dry while my soup was still a perfect temperature despite the 70° weather. My “chicken and rice” soup was absolutely delicious. I wish I’d gotten a larger cup because of how tasty it was. If you eat there, they have a few tables in the shop, but I would probably eat at their outside tables - they have a lovely ambiance in the fall. I’ll definitely be going back.
For those who drive there, there is metered parking on the street directly in front of the shop and a parking garage across the street. There are also plenty of very cute shops within a short walking distance if you want to make a trip of it. If you have kids, there’s a game/toy store across the narrow street and the Princeton Public Library is just a block away. I’d definitely recommend a day at the library and a cup of soup and...
