Let's get one thing straight: our family trip to Thai Village in Princeton wasn't just about finding dinner; it was about a spiritual awakening in the form of a dessert. Forget everything you think you know about Thai food. Your family’s quest for flavor ends here, and it ends with a bowl of sticky rice that can only be described as the culinary equivalent of a hug from a unicorn. My family, a motley crew of picky eaters and adventurous palates, embarked on our feast with high hopes and a mission to make everything vegan. Thai Village, bless their hearts, did not disappoint. They handled our dietary requests with the grace of a seasoned monk, and the results were nothing short of miraculous. Even the kids, who usually eye anything green with deep suspicion, were impressed. First, the supporting cast: a Tom Yum soup that was solid and dependable, and a coconut soup that was so creamy, so balanced, and so utterly delicious it could make a grown man weep into his spoon. The Pad Thai, often the star of the show for the little ones, was a fantastic understudy—packed with amazing flavor that held its own, a silent testament to the chef's genius. And let's not forget the spring rolls and Thai iced tea... we'll just say they were there. Like the quiet extras in a blockbuster movie. They played their part and kept the peace. But now, for the main event. The "star attraction," the "must try," the reason I am writing this review with tears of joy in my eyes: the mango sticky rice. We were warned, we were told to try it, and we did. And then we ordered another one, just to prevent a family brawl. My friends, this is not just a dessert. It is a work of art. The rice was perfectly cooked, the mango impossibly sweet, and the coconut sauce? A velvety, creamy elixir that tied it all together. It was the best we've ever had. Period. The kind of dessert that makes you want to write a family sonnet or a strongly-worded letter of gratitude to the kitchen staff. So, to all the families out there, especially those with vegans and vegetarians in tow: cancel your plans. Make the pilgrimage to Thai Village. Order everything, but whatever you do, do not leave without getting the mango sticky rice. And then, for good measure, get another one. Your souls—and your family's taste buds—will thank you.

This place is excellent. The prices are reasonable unlike Amazing Thai. Lil Thai Pin is horrible, see my review. Their wide egg noodles are amazingly soft. The owner gives great service and is kind. I had the braised beef flank noodle soup. I was chasing the flavors of Vietnamese pho, but this was a bit spicier with chili oil. Still, the noodles were amazing, and the beef was so tender and flavorful. I also had the mixed vegetables dish, with added beef. This was also excellent with fresh veggies and soft beef. I wish it didn’t have excess brown gravy though. I was chasing the experience of Palms Thai on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood, CA, which is amazing. This was close. If you don’t want sweet, I would strongly recommend drunken noodles with beef. My tab came out to $28, $34 with tip. No drinks except water. Update: i had the beef drunken noodles lunch special. Lunch special is only about $11, on weekdays only. Amazing, delicious dish. Great service. I wish they would post the lunch special menu.

Excellent service with great tasting food. One of the best pad thai places we've eaten in a while. The braised beef noodle soup is also very good. The beef was so tender and you get the option of flat noodles or regular noodles. I opted for the flat noodles which went very well with the beef. We also ordered the lychee iced thai tea as well the regular thai tea. We didn't get to try the lychee thai tea as soon after it was brought out, they took it back saying the lychee wasn't good. They brought out a regular thai tea instead. Plenty of seating for small or large group. They also have outdoor seating. Overall, very happy with the food and service.

This place is a hidden gem! I’m shocked how good the food, service and price is compared to the other restaurants around the area. I don’t know where to start! Upon, opening the door and walking in I am greeted by the staff and warmly welcomed to take a seat. I take a few minutes to look at the menu and my waiter comes by, starts me off with a glass of ice cold water and then introduces himself. His name is Andy, he asks me if I would like to try out the new seasonal specials with limited quantities they have in stock or any appetizers to start with. Before ordering I let him know about my food allergies and certain ingredients I cannot consume. He lets me know that any item on the menu can be modified to accommodate to the customers liking. I start off with an order of papaya salad with a thai iced tea on the side. Papaya salad has a authentic thai flavor to it which gives me a feeling of nostalgia when I was in Thailand for vacation a few years back before the whole COVID pandemic ruined air travel. The blend of sweet and heat then flushed down with a ice cold thai tea really hits the spot. Afterwards, I ask for a recommendation of what to order for my entree. He proceeds to ask me about my likings and dislikes, what type of flavors I prefer, sweet or salty or spicy and then he narrows down my options to an order of thai drunken noodle made spicy with an extra order of hot sauce and peanut sauce on the side and also an order of sweet and sour fish fillet. Everything is delicious! I am pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and robust the drunken noodle dish tasted and how flaky and fresh the fish fillets tasted. I never expected something to taste so good to come from such a small restaurant like this. The only complaint I have is that because I came during rush hour, my dishes didn’t come out as fast as I’d have liked them to but I can also understand because it was almost a full house. Despite being almost a full house, I was still taken care of and the food tasted amazing! As my waiter was busy taking care of other customers the boss personally came and cleared my table up and gave me the check. She’s a very nice woman named Michelle, she gave me a 10% discount for paying with cash because my order was over $50. I really enjoyed my stay here at Thai Village and I plan on coming back again soon! I hope you guys see this, thank you for the great service and amazing food! Cheers!

Update: 8/2024 With the school year right around the corner, it's wonderful to be back in Princeton. I hadn't visited my favorite Thai restaurant in a while, so I decided to drop by and see if it still held up to my memories. To my delight, it absolutely does! Although the staff has changed since my last visit, their attentiveness remains exceptional. It's clear that the restaurant strives for quality in every aspect, not just in their delicious food. The portions are still generous, and the value remains great for Princeton. It's reassuring to see that their dedication to quality remains...

My review is going to be very similar to some of the worst ones here - don’t even know why this place is still open!!! They should’ve been closed down - not deserving of Princeton!!! Very rude server (who might actually be the owner), no etiquettes. Saw her smiling with other guests but not with us for whatever reason! We still let it slide and focused on ourselves and the food. Had appetizers and then got the main course with hair in the fried rice. Called her politely to inform her of it, took it out myself and showed it to her and she started waving her hands angrily that it was NOT hair!! I asked her what it was but she wouldn’t tell me. Took it inside, we stopped eating, she returned completely ignoring us and going to seat and serve another table. I waited to grab her attention and after a few minutes, she yells over from across another table if we didn’t want to eat anymore!!???!!! Then a man came out and I explained to him what had happened and he laughs it off saying it wasn’t hair and I asked him what it was and he still wouldn’t tell me.....the attitude was nothing less than despicable! I had gone with my mom and 2 very hungry daughters who were all extremely personally offended, so we told them to cancel our order and take the food away, and that we’d pay for the appetizers. No one apologized, no one explained anything, continues their rude behavior and charged me for the appetizers....at the checkout counter I told her that their behavior was very rude and unacceptable and that if their attitude had been different, we would perhaps still have eaten there! NEVER BEFORE IN 20 something years have I had to leave a restaurant in the middle of eating!!! PLEASE CLOSE THIS RESTAURANT DOWN!!! Having Been a long time princeton resident, I’m actually pretty sure they won’t survive for long!!!! Unbelievable Friday evening...
