Teresa's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Prior Lake

We went Sunday lunch. My 14y,o daughter doesn't like Mexican food but the rest of us wanted have Mexican so after finding out they had Mac and cheese on the kids menu she was fine joining us there. Now, my kid has a lot of texture issues so she has a lot of struggles with us eating out, she often orders from kids menus because she prefers plain food and small portions. The Mac and cheese meal included fries and a beverage with free refills according to the menu we received. The portion was a cup (1 measuring cup) serving size and a handful of french fries that were all bent and soggy. She didn't complain, ate her Mac and cheese. She did order a beverage, cherry Pepsi. They brought her a tall glass with pepsi and Marchino cherry juice in it, not cherry grinadine. She didn't get any refills. They charged us $8 for the 1 cup of Mac and cheese and $2.99 for the beverage. When I asked about it they said because she was over age 5 ( the menu says to please not order over age 10) they would not honour the price posted on the menu. There is only chicken strips and Cesar salad as options for non mexican food on the regular menu. They never said there would be an upcharge for ordering of the kids menu and she certainly did not get a larger portion. Just asking for what we ordered and to pay for what we ordered. When I attempted to contact a manager the next day. First was told no one was in until after 3. I called later and the manager asked if I would wait on hold for a minute. I hung up after waiting on hold for 35 mins when they hung up on me. ( just because I wanted to see how long they would leave me on hold) Basically, don't go here if you want service, they don't stand by their menus or pricing, and service is poor. We won't go again. I leave way more five star reviews then negative reviews, And this definitely has to go down as a negative. I would have to guess many of the good reviews are paid for As there is many companies that do that- I was there 6 months ago and tried it again and not much has changed.. Definitely will prefer a taco truck any day before Teresa's.. Beef street Tacos ordered, giving it was ( 2 hours before closed on a Sunday eve) the beef was dry and way over seasoned and crispy As if it sat in the bottom of a pan all day! Could not eat it as it will be throwing away Like that should have been cooked right up on the skillet to order! not old meat piled with onions. Hoping the customer won't be able to tell. I can't believe the cook Let it go out.. If I don't have reflux yet, I sure will in about an hour from the few bites.. The guaq was so spicy I could not even eat It, burned my mouth and lips with every bite.. dumped way too much garlic or onion in there? Was anything freshly made besides the guac I ask myself? Very doubtful! And Cold canned refried beans.. Maybe it was crickets outside for a reason when I came? My son had cold enchiladaa and my daughter said her chicken tacos were ok even though she only ate one.. I don't see this business surviving I sure will not be back.. That was a waste of 60 bucks when Taco Bell would have been much better.. You know if that was one of the employees cooking themselves dinner. It wouldn't have been that, It would have been freshly cooked meat on the skillet.. yet they send it out to the customer....

Went here on Cinco de Mayo and had the worst experience I’ve ever had anywhere while dining out. My family of six with seated and did not get served for over an hour and 20 minutes, and when our food came out half of the plates were overcooked, and half of the plates were extremely cold. Food was sent back to the kitchen and the manager did not even want to ask us why it was sent back. We were extremely polite, and Were extremely well mannered. There were five tables that came in after us by about 20 minutes that we’re all serve their food, and left by the time our food was served. To top it off my four-year-old who ordered a craft mac & cheese kids meal with french fries, finally got his food when everyone else at the table had finished eating, and my food which had been sent back never came back out. Not only did the french fries not come with his meal, but his Kraft was unedible. This restaurant is an absolute joke and be warned this is not the first bad experience. This was the third time that we have tried this restaurant and they have failed every single time. The server was absolutely terrible and checked on us 1 to 2 times over the course of an hour and 20 minutes. Be warned stay away from this establishment,...
