I walked into the Panda Express just hoping to redeem a simple birthday reward — a free item with any qualifying purchase. I bought a Coke, expecting the promotion to work just like it says in the app. Instead, I was met with resistance, confusion, and frankly, dismissiveness. The manager, Rosa Verawaty, told me the Coke wasn’t a “qualifying purchase” — despite the fact that the coupon doesn’t define what a qualifying purchase even is. I explained that to her, hoping she'd understand that the issue was with the unclear terms, not me. But instead of helping, she told me “this isn’t my issue” and that she had no authority to do anything, as a manager. Then she went on to say that the Panda Rewards system has nothing to do with Panda Express and that she couldn’t override or resolve anything related to it. That’s absolutely baffling, it’s your company’s branded rewards system, on your app, tied to purchases made in your store. She offered that I could pay for another item to get the coupon to work, but I didn’t want anything else. I was essentially being forced to buy something I didn’t want just to get what was promised. And when I told her this wasn't fair, she claimed honoring the coupon would be "stealing from the company." This was supposed to be a small birthday treat, and instead, I walked out feeling humiliated, dismissed, and honestly embarrassed. It may seem small, but this ruined my day. Panda Express — you need to do better. You should be training your managers to care, not shrug off customers over your own misleading advertising. The fact that your system wouldn't allow this reward to process is not my fault, and the burden shouldn't be on the customer to navigate a broken promotion. A birthday reward should be something joyful — not a cause for frustration and...
Read moreCustomers service gets worse and worse at fast food places. But I didn't expect it from panda. So I order a full meal with a medium drink. Then I ask, can I get that strawberry mango drink, which I didn't know was a different price. Then the cashier says no that's a different price, do you still want it and I was like sure. But proceeds to want to charge full price of a whole other drink. I said oh I can't just pay the difference I just paid for this drink. The whole thing happened right after I paid right there and then so I hadn't left the cashier or anything still holding the cup they just gave me. He says no it's the whole price then spills the whole new drink he had already poured into a different cup back into the drink dispencer... then ignores me. I stop a manager and let him know the situation and if I can just pay difference of the drink which every other restaurant does. He says no you have to pay the full price. What am I going to do with the drink I already paid for??. It's ridiculous. Any where else you only pay the difference, I think the manager was just trying to have the cashiers back being buddies or something cause they all look like they 16-18...
Read moreFirst time I have ordered from Panda Express in months. I order online for pickup at 11a. I go in with my kid around 11:30ish and I don't see my order on the pickup shelf. Long story short they basically accused me of stealing my own food ( how??? Check your cameras if you think that is what I did. ). Then asked me when the order pickup and date was ( uh same day and 11a pickup like it says on my order?) and then found the receipt in the area where they keep mobile orders, I guess and "remake my order" in which they still got wrong. Very rude, cold and accusing. I reported them to corporate about my experience AND when I got an email about leaving feedback with the order I shared it there. WEEKS later I get an email from customer support addressing my wrong order, I told them that is not what I care about. I care more about how they treat customers. Then they reply back and said "someone will contact you from the store". Never did. Given how awful I was treated both in store and how dismissive corporate was, I will be boycotting them...
