Two factors were the key drivers that landed me here: 1) The meatball with ricotta cheese and marinara sauce. 2) The reviews for this restaurant were top of the pack. Atwell Ave., the street where Anthony’s is located, is lined with Italian Restaurants and they are all good however, Anthony’s stands alone. I didn’t visit all see all of the Italian restaurants in the area but the ones I saw were cut from a different cloth. Anthony’s offers a lot more home style feel and traditional environment and the food is awesome! I took them up on the meatball and also had the eggplant rollatini, chased by a glass of vino. The cheese they use for both the meatball topping and rollatini is so smooth and creamy you’ll want and entree of just that. The marinara sauce was delicious and a-plenty.

One of the many Italian restaurants in Fed Hill, Anthony’s has a more laid back vibe and feels a little more family friendly, similar to Angelo’s. The many has plenty of options, and the food is good. I had the gnocchi special in vodka sauce which was wonderful. They also have a decent selection of wine and cocktails, and have a few cans/bottles of beer but nothing on tap. The bartender was very friendly and attentive, although I did go on a particularly dead Monday night. I do think the prices are a little steep here, they seem to be more in line with the fancier places on the Hill. All in all, a good place to get Italian food on Fed Hill, especially if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere or to avoid the busiest part of Atwells.

I'm only issue is the prices but the problem with that is all the prices in the area are the same now. The service is great. If you go in and Devin is your server or bartender you're going to get everything great. He gives excellent suggestions on what to eat. He'll tell you if it's a hard email or if it's a light male. If you're really hungry, what to get or not, the vodka sauce items are great and he suggested that to me and it was perfect it will Reminds you of old mafia movies which I like. He was very friendly. He was really the only person that I dealt with and it was great and they have a parking lot. It's small but they have one.

OMG!! I am a visitor to Providence and was told that this is by far the best Intalian restauarnt in Providence. We went for a business dinner and was a worst decision of a lifetime. Lets start with the wine - ordered "Silver Oak" Cab as per the menu but was told that the year printed in the menu was wrong what they had is 2016 , anyway got that as the same price as "vintage" this wine was bad. Appetizers - Had 4 appetizers - Calamari & Smelt fish - it was sour like crazy and since it was breaded, fried and had the chef had put lime juice ( without thinking) it was soggy, the artichoke heart was a disaster - although this was reccomended my the server ( forgot to mention they one and only server fort the evening had no interest of serving or food or wine, she was there just for the heck of it) and the shrimp cocktail - there were 4 shrimps which looked and tasted very sad. The Main dishes - The veal dish was breaded fried and very badly presented, the fish was ok , the 2 pastas was so bad that we had to just leave it. The dessert Tiramisu, Creme brulee and another one - nothing to write home about it. There was just 1 lady (for the entire restaurant) who had no clue on food or wine, the ambience is below average, the bar menu is very selective besides things in the menu was not aavailable what we wanted. Wonder why someone would rate it 4+ - Folks - please be real and dont misguide visitors like me and others. I will not reccomend this place to anyone. Thank you for patiently reading...

Booked reservation for 8pm. When we came in they originally said they didn’t have the reservation. They eventually found the reservation and told it would be a little bit since they were waiting for a party to leave. We arrived at 730 so we were fine with waiting. We then proceeded to sit at the bar for over an hour before one of our party finally asked us when we would be seated as it was now a half hour after our reservation. We were told it would be ten more minutes, and then a few minutes after that were approached again and told that they thought our party was 5 and not 9, and that the table was empty would have was just finishing entrees and it could be around 25 more minutes. At this point we were handed menus and told we could order appetizers on the house. We were visibly frustrated and were not particularly interested in this, and then were not approached again. We finally decided to just leave an hour after sitting at the bar for an hour after our original reservation. I would have preferred being told at the beginning that they could not seat us, or at least for someone to acknowledge the fact that we had waited as long as we did. For us to have to approach someone to ask about the wait, and then to be ignored because we were rightfully frustrated is absolutely ridiculous. Don’t take reservations you...

Went for Saint Joseph's day. Ordered the artichoke stuffed as an appetizer , veal Marsala as my dish

Artichoke was not cooked on the all the outer leaves were inedible. Vilma Sala was not good. I had to ask for a little cup of masala wine to pour on it. Now if a customer asks the chef in the back for some masala wine when he knows he just put out an order of veal masala, you think he would come out or the owner would come out and ask why? I order this dish everywhere I go. This must have been the worst!! You would think you can't screw it up.It's so easy to make. Well..... it said provimi veal, lwas tuff And the masala and mushrooms, I can't even believe it. You can tell as soon as it comes out just by the color of it. Looked like brown gravy.. My companion ordered spaghetti and meatballs If you like your meatballs, the size of a softball full of bread, then this is for you. Needless to say, I would never go back. I wouldn't even have left this review if the "Chef" Came out and said, why do you need marsala wine to dump over it?? Mind you It was not that crowded and it is an italian holiday, so if you screwed it up today??? Places very nice inside our waitress was wonderful!! I think somebody needs to get back there. And cook some REAL italian...
