See also my Hanju review: Luckily a friend told us about what to expect here otherwise we would’ve been totally confused. There are two separate businesses located in one location called “The Royal Bobcat” with OUI over the entrance. If that isn’t confusing enough you’ll need to walk thru the bar area to find a couple of menus on a small counter or, you can use the QR code on each table to peruse the menu. Ring the bell on the counter and someone will appear to take your food order. If you want drinks you order from the bar. I really like the vibe of the place with stained glass and sparkly lights in an intimate setting. They also have jazz on Wednesdays and Saturdays. My only negative comment would be the bartendress who is low on the scale of friendly and never cracked a smile. Bartending isn’t difficult. Really it isn’t. I bartended in my youth in strip clubs to huge nightclubs (which is probably why I can’t hear well now). Your job is to be a purveyor of liquid happiness with a side of charm. A smile now and again will can turn this bar into a beacon of joy amidst a delightful menu of seoulful bayou Korean-Cajun fusion...
Read moreWhat a refreshingly lovely little place this is! Where was once there was a stodgy, unimaginative little wishy-washy bar filled with terrible food and unsavory characters now stands this this lovely, hip little gem of a bar. A veritable oasis of Providenceness! True story! No more drab, sullen furnishings, instead you will now find wonderfully appointed happy, hip furnishings! Posh, Comfy and intimate, the decor here will start you smiling and the Korean/Providence Fusion menu will keep you smiling for sure! The bar is pouring some fantastic house made craft drinks, again following that great Providence Style of old fashioned newness. You have to try one of their Perfect Manhattans! To top it off the prices will keep you smiling too. The menu changes up quite a bit so you won't get bored. This is a great place for a date, with a group of friends or even just a solo adventure; you will find what you are looking for here. You will find yourself coming...
Read moreWent here on a Saturday night and it was empty which should have been a clue, especially on the Hill. Bartender had no personality. I asked for a menu and she said it was on the table (QR code) with a lot of drinks listed. Problem is they have some Tropical Tuesday night with great sounding.drinks that they can only make on Tuesday!?! I orderwd a Dilemma which was not good. Asked for water and she pointed at a self serve water container with no ice in it. Then you have to order your drinks from the bar as they apparently have no wait staff and Miss Personality behind the bar. Then you have to go to a window to order your food. Wife liked her crab cakes and my Red beans were very dry and bland. I am always hopeful of finding good New Orleans cooking up here but this place...
