Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Providence

Tasteless food..... when I could find it. Driving through Macey's parking lot I saw Capriotti's for the first time and decided to try something new. The menu sounded enticing, reminding me of another sandwich, soup and salad chain restaurant, just with not as many options. I ordered the Homemade Turkey sandwich, Cheesesteak sandwich, Chicken Noodle soup and Clam Chowder for my wife and I (and both tasted all four). My wife started by picking off the onions from her sandwich, which I had asked to be left off. Then proceeded to the kitchen to add mayo as it was extremely dry. The sandwich as a whole was seriously under flavored as well.

Next I unwrapped my sandwich, the cheesesteak, and firstly thought I had received just bread, as I couldn't see anything in it. The bread completely wrapped the steak. After a few bites I really couldn't make a call on how the steak was flavored as there was very little meat and just tasted of bread.

The soups came in a sealed cup, so portion size was about right. However both were very light on seasonings. I would swear the clam chowder was just from a cheap can.

On the good side the staff was friendly and worked quickly. However, based on 4 out of 4 failures on the food, neither of us would return...

I just ordered dinner from Capriotti's and was very excited to have it delivered to my door. Their website advertised free delivery, but when I went to check out online it charged me a $3.99 delivery fee. Although I was annoyed by this, I decided I would still order. After waiting the 50 minutes to get the sandwich, one of the sandwiches that I had ordered (the one for me) was not there. After I made the order, I found that the delivery was actually done by DoorDash. When I called Capriotti's to see if they could send me a new sandwich, they unapologetically told me my only option was to drive in and get it or to make a new order. They also told me at first that they weren't even sure if they could refund my money because the order had gone through DoorDash and they couldn't give me a phone number or any other way to contact DoorDash. After several minutes, they fortunately told me that they were able to refund my money, but I would still be left without a sandwich. Although I like Capriotti's food, I'm definitely going to think twice about ordering from them...

We usually have a great experience here but today was not one of those days. I ordered curbside and it said it’d be ready in 15 minutes. I got there in 15 minutes and waited in the parking spot. 20 minutes go by and the lady in the car next to me (pulled in 5 minutes after me) asked if they came and said anything to me. I told her that I haven’t heard anything so she said she’d go get our food for us. She came out a couple minutes later with her food and said they’d have mine to me in a minute, which they did. I can’t believe it took some random lady a couple minutes to go in and complain for the cars outside to finally get their food. They were not busy, there were only three cars outside and nobody inside. Our hot sandwiches were cold by the time we got them. We were disappointed that it took more than twice and long and the food didn’t even come out hot. Hopefully it was just a bad day and the next visit will be as great as they...
