Utah Mattress Outlet — Hotel in Logan

This has been a rough experience for me. We found a mattress at Utah Mattress Outlet and were told that it might take 2 weeks for delivery. Given circumstances, that was not great but we accepted it. About 3 weeks later after calling the store several times, I was told that they had oversold that model and size of bed and wouldn’t be able to get more until Memorial Day so they wouldn’t start shipping out until sometime after. They assured me it should be delivered by June 8 or 9. Finally I went back to the store and pled for a solution. Justin offered me a loaner bed to fill the gap until our order showed up, which I gratefully accepted.

I would suggest that the company needs to improve its communication with customers. As a minimum, they need to send a confirmation email of the order with an anticipated time frame of shipping. If there is a back order, they need to communicate that with the customer with a possibility of working out different solutions. None of that was done. The customer has a right to know why expectations are not being fulfilled. I don’t think the salespeople even knew what was going on. That’s really poor handling of employees as well.

What was done right: Justin had the authority to make a loaner mattress due to the lengthy process and urgency. I wish that had been done sooner, but I’m grateful it was done. So…my review has gone all over the place. What started as a 5 star experience became a huge downer but my appreciation for the solution that was offered to me brings it back up. I was shopping for a new mattress but wasn't sure what I was looking for. Kolten talked me through several options and helped me figure out the mattress that would be best for me. He was kind, and not the least bit salesy or pressuring me to buy something that wouldn't work for me. I will definitely be a return customer!

UPDATE: As promised I returned to Utah Mattress outlet recently to make another purchase…and I was NOT disappointed! This time it was Keltyn who offered exceptional customer service. He answered questions, made recommendations, listened to my needs, and once again I felt no pressure to buy what wouldn’t work for me. The frame I chose was on back order and I received multiple updates as to the anticipated date of shipment to the store. The mattress arrived sooner and was held for me until the frame could be picked up at the same time. my wife and I were out today shopping for a new mattress we shopped at several stores in the Logan area. Everyone we walked into felt like I was being approached by used car salesman, trying to sell me something I didn’t want when we walked into Utah mattress outlet It was a different story. Greeted by Mitchell, he showed us mattresses in our price range and we were pleasantly surprised to see we could afford a little bit more because their prices were so much better. There was absolutely no pressure or sales Just let Product sell itself. Not only did we get a better mattress than we thought we could afford, but Mitchell also gave us a deal that had expired a couple weeks before where we were able to get two pillows, a mattress topper and sheets for below what we would’ve paid for one pillow.
