I did just want to share my experience on the 14th about this restaurant.
We had ordered through grub hub at around 10:30 pm. Delivery estimation jumped from 11:30 to just after midnight. When the food finally arrived, it was completely wrong. Broche French toast with peaches topping came with no peaches. Sundaes with chocolate sauce came with strawberry sauce. We tried calling the restaurant for over 20 minutes with no answer - actually it sounded like someone was picking up the phone and hanging up. So, we call grub hub and they try calling, and look and see they've closed out their online ordering (on grub hub they're showing until 1am online ordering by the way). So, we decide since they're open 24 hours we're going to bring this food back for them to fix.
Fast forward, and it's nearing 12:30 in the morning when we arrive. We ask for a manager and Ikene Ramirez comes. We explain the situation and she says: they're only supposed to do online orders until 10 pm and it's grub hubs fault, the driver showed up and showed on the phone what we ordered, made it and sent him to us, and the phone at the restaurant was too quiet to hear (further, if grub hub had their online ordering open til 1 am, and they stopped taking orders after 10pm, someone would have had to log into their employee extranet, see my order, and close themselves down early for the night. There is no way she didn't see my order...). Okay. We asked her to remake our food correctly. She said okay, grabbed our bag of incorrectly made food and tossed it into the tiny trash can at her side abruptly.
At this point, she walks away, and another man comes in and waits. A server comes up and says his food isn't ready yet. He says forget it, and leaves. Appears he did online ordering too and they were taking too long to get his food. Hmm.... We also double checked the volume on the phone while we were there, and it was perfectly fine on the volume to hear around it, so there was no reason nobody could pick it up in all of the 20 minutes we called straight.
Then, the manager comes back after near 20 minutes with our food. All fine and made right now (1 or 2 scoops of ice cream in a to go cup for $8 each???). After double checking our food, we asked Ikene for a corporate or general manager business card. She searched the desk and took yet another fifteen minutes to search and look, and came back with a sticky note and two phone numbers, but no general managers name nor email.
At that point, it was just about 1 am. Both of us were exhausted and frustrated, so we took the food, went back to our hotel and simply put the food in the fridge and went to bed. Our appetites were ruined at the lack of empathy and the fact we had to wait two and a half hours to get a simple order of food. We were given no apologies from Ikene or anyone on the situation and I felt all we got was excuses and her blaming other people. I ordered 2 fisherman's platters which were supposed to have 2 pieces of fish, 5 shrimp, and fries with tartar and cocktail sauces, 2 chocolate milks, a Mac n cheese (which only contained about enough for 5 bites had it actually been edible), and a large mango iced tea. What I got was completely inedible (hard as a rock and ice cold) and barely enough to feed a baby bird. I only had one piece of fish the size of a chicken nugget, 1 piece of shrimp that was still Grey, about 5 bites of ice cold mac n cheese where the cheese wasn't even incorporated or melted. A small plain iced tea and one chocolate milk. I called the restaurant to complain and the manager I spoke with got very belligerent and yelled and screamed at me and refused to do anything. I was very calm when I first spoke with the female manager until she became belligerent and started yelling and name-calling. It was so horrible that my normally calm husband who never raises his voice actually started yelling back at the lady for disrespecting me and saying that it "wasn't her problem" and she "couldn't do anything." I've never had a horrible experience like that from this location but I haven't been there since before the pandemic. I couldn't believe my experience. I will never go back. I attempted to call corporate but they were closed at 4pm est on a Friday. I don't know why during a weekend dinner rush they'd be closed but again very displeased with the whole experience. Read moreI love Ihop but these past experiences have been utterly disappointing. The website says 24 HOURS. Open for DINE IN, TAKE OUT AND DELIVERY. When I walked in at 2:30am nobody greeted me after standing at the front entrance to be seated. I then asked the “cooks” who were both standing in the kitchen door way watching me look for help, if there was anyone seating people. They answered “yea. Her right there.” and pointed to a woman taking orders from two tables. When she saw me she walked up and said “I’m not taking fine in orders. Only togo.” I was confused because the website says 24 HOURS and a couple days prior I remembered her being the same woman who tried to prevent me and a few friends from dinning in because “she lost her keys!” Smh This time it was because “she just worked 16 hrs and wasn’t supposed to be there and she didn’t want to deal with peoples attitudes. Alycia I believe is her name. She then walked off to the back talking to the “cooks” saying how she wasn’t “dealing” with people and their attitudes. Asking if someone had locked the front door!! I literally walked in and had she not been rude and obnoxious about her doing her job maybe she wouldn’t be met with other peoples attitudes!!! I’ll definitely be calling when the manager David is on duty because apparently he gave her the ok to NOT seat customers. I spend good money and tip every time but this waitress Alycia NEEDS TO FIND ANOTHER JOB ELSEWHERE because CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT IT!!! Totally...
