I seriously cannot overstate how wonderful Oak is. This is one of the few places I have been to that I will say: EVERYONE should go here. There is not a single person I know who has tried an item from Oak and not instantly fallen in love, and I have introduced MANY friends and family members!

Their coffee is consistently delicious and comforting, their pastries are stunningly good (with a perfect salt/sweet balance you just don't often find), and their food is filling and phenomenal.

My all-time favorite food might be their quiche. It's melt-in-you-mouth, creamy deliciousness in a flaky crust, packed with flavor from the mix-ins. If you don't like soft eggs it won't be for you, but if you are an egg lover, do yourself a favor and grab a slice!

My favorite drink so far is their caramel apple, served warm. It tastes EXACTLY like a recipe for apple kuchen bars I make every fall, which is to say, it tastes like caramel apple shortbread in a cup. I was blown away at my first sip, and that was AFTER having tried many other superbly delicious things from them!

And of course the staff are some of the most lovely people you will ever have the pleasure to meet! They make this small shop feel so cozy, truly like a...

In my love of supporting local buisness I spent just shy $75 on pastries & coffees to share with friends & family from Oak Bakery. My third time there I bought my coffee and treats planning on sitting and doing some work until my friend met me. She had never been. As a mom It had been a busy morning already and I asked to use the bathroom. Three counter girls in unison said "no bathroom". The sorry they gave me felt patronizing. It was odd, cold & offputting leaving me felling unseen & unappreciated. I instantly called my friend and cancelled explaining why. She was as shocked also. Its one thing to refuse non paying customer's but I dropped serious bank in 3 days. In fact, I dont live close to the bakery. We dont mind paying the high prices to support local businesses, but humans need bathrooms in shops where beverages & foods are served. Its not posted anywhere in the shop there is NO bathroom. It gave me a bad feeling, & I took my/our buisness elsewhere. Its only fair ya'll post "No restrooms for ANYONE" On A sign on your door for unsuspecting coustomers. If it is there,...

So, I live on the east side, and I am of a mixed race. I went there for the first time on Wednesday morning, I was greeted by the front counter person with an attitude. I ordered a pastry and a muffin, and she said, and I quote, just to inform you it will take at least 30 minutes. I was wondering how it would take 30 minutes when it was already prepared and just needed to be warmed up in the oven. I proceeded to watch how the counter person interacted with everyone else, and she proceeded to be super friendly. Didn’t tell anyone else that their food would take that long it really felt pretty racist and that she was trying to convince me to go elsewhere. I’m not sure why I’m assuming because I was the only mixed person in the bakery, but my family is from the east side and I am also Jewish! So the irony of it was astounding The food was amazing but the way I was treated from the second I walked in, was very ignorant and...

Wowww!! The desserts here are incredible! I can see why they’re gaining in popularity so quickly. I purchased 3 desserts and they were all massive in size and high in quality. I’ve been seeing their huge coffee cake bricks ($5) on YouTube and Instagram so that was an obvious choice. Not one part was dry and the crumb topping was perfection. I think it weighed about 1 pound. Their apple crumb muffin ($4) had deep flavor and this crumble topping had a slight crunch to it. Very good. The chocolate scone ($3.75) was huge, moist and loaded with chocolate chips. Everything had great flavor and on the size and quality of their food, the value is fantastic. I’d gotta go back there ASAP and try more of their desserts.

We went to Oak Bakeshop twice during our stay in providence. The first time was out of desperation because we woke up too early from jet-lag and it was the closest place around. We had a nice breakfast but looking at the menu now I see that they forgot to give us labneh with our simit (in fact I thought the additional price for a little bit of olive oil seemed like a lot) our drinks were good and over all it was a nice experience. We went back a few days later just for drinks Togo and they were not what we ordered and so piping hot that we burned our tongues.. That is always a clear sign that the barista is not properly trained. I’m not sure if I would recommend this place to a friend.
