Let me paint you a picture: so a friend and I showed up a bit before 5 to a mostly dead dining room we stood around in front of the hostess stand for a while being ignored by staff as we tried to make eye contact with anyone. After a fair amount of time a waitress appeared and seated us, she threw menus on the table no welcome no introduction and then she took off. She came back less than a minute later to ask about drinks we said we needed another minute she walked off and ignored us for a fair bit, walking by several times before she finally took out orders. She took off the second my friend stopped speaking not giving us any time to ask a follow up question about a menu item concerning an allergy, well I should have mentioned it first thing maybe she's doing a project or something. She drops off our pitcher of margaritas without a word and takes off again my friend taste tests them for my allergy and we dig in to out drinks. As we're eating our chips and salsa we notice a black dot in our margaritas. It's a bug. We flag down our waitress and explain that there's a bug she says she'll remake it. Our food comes out it's fairly bland which is honestly the least of my issues. She brings over a second pitcher and lo and behold there are now two bugs in the pitcher. My friend walks it over to the bar and informs them we won't be drinking margaritas. We see the manager speak to out waitress and assume she will come over to us, that maybe someone will ask if we want a substitute drink; no dice. We eat as much of our food as we can stomach without anything to drink and request the check from the waitress who has seemed pissed at us since we sat down. The manager finally makes an appearance and tells us all the restaurants have bugs because it's that time of year and said the margaritas had been removed from our check. At this point we just want to get out of this hell hole so we pay and leave. I get to the train station not even 15 minutes later and I'm throwing up. There is no excuse for the manager to not have been present immediately following the issue with the first pitcher, nevermind the second. And everybody has bugs isn't an acceptable excuse. I'll be calling the...

When we arrived about 7:30pm on a Friday we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait. I'd say it was more like ten minutes (could have been longer, I was talking so time flew by!). We were seated towards the back at a cozy table for two.
I absolutely loved the twinkle lights all over the restaurant and the warm lighting. It was more inviting that way.
My husband ordered the "top shelf" margarita ($8) and I ordered the raspberry margarita (made with chambord $8). When they arrived we eagerly tasted, and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend the drinks, good bang for your buck, strong and not overly sweet at all!
For dinner my husband got the chimichungas which were two mini chimichangas (deep fried burritos). Because they came in two small ones he was able to try a different filling in each. He said they were tasty! Rice that came on the side was exceptional, usually the rice we get with our burritos out is pretty bland, but this was very flavorful. Also came with a side of cucumber salad.
I ordered a non-traditional Tex-Mexish quesadilla. I added the "ish" because well it's not Mexican at all but it was yummy! I ordered the Savannah quesadilla with grilled chicken (also has sweet potato french fries, onion and BBQ sauce). Wow those flavors were amazing together!
Chips and salsa do not come to the table for free, you have to pay for them, that was a little disappointing as that is usually standard at Mexican style restaurants.
Overall great place. Food wasn't amazing but was really tasty and the drinks were a great value, we will definitely be back...
Read moreOohhh sweet 9 pound 6 ounce dear lord baby jesus, where do i begin? Lets start with the Positive. Our server had a great attitude and my iced tea didn't suck. Now for everything else. At about 3:30pm the place was almost empty and we still had to stand around and wait to be seated. To start my Girlfriend ordered a margarita that tasted like tequila and water with a bit of sugar and lime in it. She took a total of 2 small drinks of it. We ordered guacamole and chips that for some ungodly reason had feta cheese in it. Still undeterred we went on. My girlfriend ordered a shrimp taco plate that ended up being a very bland make your own taco plate with bad refried beans and worse "Mexican " rice. She ended up choking down the shrimp because she was very hungry. I ordered a combo plate with 2 enchiladas and a burrito. I ended up eating literally 4 bites. 1 each of the enchiladas, burrito, rice and beans. Just hoping for something edible. No Such Luck. It was at this point we decided to leave. The waitress charged us for my tea, her margarita, the shrimp and that horrible feta guacamole. Total bill was just over $25. As a born and raised Texan i am ashamed to have eaten here. GO HERE AT...
