Edit after the response from Snookers owner below: I honestly don't know why my kind and polite review of your restaurant results in such a snide and insulting response from you. I get no pleasure from leaving a review for a restaurant over 1000 miles from me that I will never have the opportunity to visit.
I only did so for a good friend who lives in Rhode Island and who's loathe to leave negative commentary that might make people upset. She's was quite displeased with the food she received and was willing to just walk away, but given the cost of the order, I offered to write a review with her guidance so others might be aware her experience.
As you can see from my past Google reviews, I leave only positive commentary and that's for service that goes above and beyond. If I encounter sub-par service, I deal with it there and then and without exception, apologies are made, the problem is corrected and everyone walks away happy.
By your snide commentary regarding the places I've left reviews in the past, you seem to think you and your restaurant is superior by nature to other food service businesses out there. Looking at your website, your place honestly seems like a rather nice bar & grill but but nothing really different from the 10's of thousands of bar & grill's out there already.
I'm glad you said "However, sometimes we will fail. We’re human after all. If this is the case, we again will do everything in our power to fix the issue and make it up to you." After your response to me, my friend left a review of her own directly addressing her issue. I trust you will contact her soon to apologize for the pizza she received and will do what you can to retain her as a happy customer.
If the rest of your diners are as pleased with your menu as your reviews indicate, I trust you'll have a wonderful future. If on the other hand, other customers receive poorly made food and wish to write a negative review with their friends or family's assistance, I hope you'd be more curious and give them a polite response instead of something similar to the one you left me.
PS. -1 star for the snide response to me.
My friend went to Snookers this evening and just called me regarding her order. While she mentioned that the servers were friendly and offered exceptional service, unfortunately the food itself left a lot to be desired.
She had ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and a root beer for dinner but unfortunately the root beer was bottled with no free refills (not noted on the menu) and the pizza itself was paper thin and had almost no cheese on it.
She's ordered from here before and has generally really enjoyed the overall experience. Unfortunately since the pandemic and subsequent shutdown, their menu has changed and it seems so has the quality of...
Read moreI had high hopes for joining Snookers, but unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. After accepting an offer and giving two weeks’ notice at my previous job to join their team, I was laid off on my first day with no prior warning. This left me in a difficult position leaving me with no job and a month before Christmas and having 3 small young children to provide for and has caused significant professional and personal disruption.
While I understand that businesses can face challenges, I feel the communication and decision-making process could have been handled more transparently. I would advise potential candidates to carefully consider the stability and communication practices of this company before making any major career decisions.
I was open and honest about my flexibility and having kids and also being a military spouse. The General Manager hired me on the spot during the job interview and told me to give my previous job a 2 week notice, which I did.
She even stated that she would work with my schedule if I provided a month to month schedule that I would be available to work.
I hope the company improves its processes in the future to avoid situations like this for other...
Read moreFood was fine, but specifically came for their half priced apps for their advertised half off apps from 4-6 pm. Honestly super confusing. Probably would’ve gotten meals instead had we known the only app that is lower price is a smaller portion of their nachos off of a hidden menu. Called ahead to ask and they confirmed discounted apps. Then when we got there we spoke to two waitresses about it before moving to the bar to get the deal. Then we ordered and we ended up paying full price for the whole meal of many apps. Overall still confused.
Edit: WOW. Changing my review to one star for that classy response! Not getting our business again. Crazily enough after talking to four of your staff members, no one mentioned the beat the clock “deal” and none of our apps that we ordered during that time period were discounted. We asked about the half off deal which is just what we considered it since the apps were essentially half off. However, after moving to the bar area we paid full price. Even the “discounted” nachos were put in as full size and we paid full price. Don’t be fooled,...
