Amazing choice for private event!

I got married in Providence in September and we had welcome drinks with 120 guests here. We reserved the entire outdoor space, including the greenhouse. Matty was extremely organized and communicative leading up to the event. They were also flexible and accommodating as our headcount increased and they even sourced finding a second bathroom for our guests. They offered to help source/organize a food spread but we stuck with just drinks. We loved working with Luc to finalize our signature drinks.

On the day of the event, Matty and Madi walked us through the layout of the space as discussed (the setup was awesome with different stations for wine/beer, spritzes, old fashioned/negronis, and our signature cocktails). They had a dedicated security employee checking IDs and make sure guests were part of the party. The team updated us as we got closer to our minimum spend and even surprised us with a special announcement and cocktail. The servers were so excited to host us and very welcoming - we received multiple comments from guests applauding the drinks and the service

I wanted to celebrate my birthday here and made a reservation for 10. They asked me to complete a form and include a credit card number. I wasn't comfortable doing that over email, so decided I'd give them a call later. Since I work full-time and am a mom, I have a million things to remember... So naturally I forgot to do this. When I remembered and followed up my table had been given away. The polite and professional thing to do would have been to follow up and give me a chance to keep the reservation before cancelling it.

Regarding the owner's response: I understand the policy. I recommend making it clear to the person making the reservation that a card is required before the reservation is confirmed (this was not clear to me or else I would have acted more quickly). Also, I would have appreciated a reminder as a courtesy before the reservation was cancelled OR even a notification that my reservation was cancelled at all. That's it. Like I said... That would be the polite and professional thing...

Tiny bar was a great mini adventure after a great dining experience at Cav. Just sitting outside in the late summer air and enjoying some out of the park created cocktails. The birds of paradise and lemon blueberry cake, both vodka based, were over the top in tastes. We then shared a password, made with mescal. The drink was smoky from the mescal but still had other strong flavors to top off the combination. They ID all, which helps cover serving anyone underage.
