Came here to see shen yun this Sunday with a group of my disabled clients and the behavior I experienced from the staff who worked here was absolutely DISGUSTING. Iâm sorry that we didnât fit your very narrow minded definition of ânormalâ but that doesnât mean to yell at me and my clients like we were animals. While trying to get our tickets scanned me and my coworker with wheel chairs were yelled at to get into another line even though we were with our group of 8. In the bathroom a staff shoved my 58 year old client with Down syndrome because we didnât enter the correct way, even though there was no signage directing us and proceeded to yell at us. After using the restroom we washed our hands and the same staff who yelled and shoved us back was loudly complaining about people not entering properly while also pointing at us. Just because my clients are disabled doesnât mean they canât hear or see the gross behavior displayed by the staff here. After the show, one of my clients in a wheel chair needed to use the handicapped restroom. Me and another client waited in the lobby area so we wouldnât crowd and my client sat down because her legs were hurting when an usher came up to me and told me I had to leave so they could clean. I explained I was waiting for my group and she proceeded to interrogate me asking how many of us there were and where they were. I explained they were in the handicapped bathroom and she went to check and see if I was lying (which I wasnât). Multiple staff members all very VERY RUDE AND IGNORANT. My job also purchased tickets for wheelchair users and the staff yelled at us to put our mobility limited clients into regular chairs. Yâall were lucky I was at my job and had to act professional and not cuss 80% of your staff out, maybe your ushers should take some notes on professionalism and how to be respectful to people with mental and physical...
Read moreThe Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) is truly a gem nestled in the heart of Rhode Island, and my recent visit to see "A Christmas Carol" was nothing short of magical. This opulent theater, rich in 1920s architecture and charm, provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night of entertainment.
From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by the grandeur of the venue. The stunning chandeliers and intricate detailing evoke a sense of nostalgia, making it clear that this is a place where the arts are celebrated in style. The atmosphere is both elegant and inviting, setting the stage for an exceptional experience.
The performance of "A Christmas Carol" was outstanding. The cast delivered powerful performances, bringing the beloved story to life with passion and skill. The energy on stage was infectious, and I found myself captivated from start to finish. The production values were high, with beautiful costumes and impressive set designs that transported the audience straight into Dickens' world.
Beyond the performance itself, I must commend the staff at PPAC. They were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and comfortable. From the box office to the ushers, their professionalism and friendliness added to the overall positive experience.
In conclusion, the Providence Performing Arts Center is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the performing arts. Whether you're attending a Broadway show, a concert, or a play, you're sure to be impressed by the talent on stage and the beauty of the venue. My experience watching "A Christmas Carol" was truly delightful, and I can't wait to return for more performances in the future. Highly...
Read moreWhat a nightmare experience. The venue itself is wonderful, but the people who run this place are clueless.
The Brett Goldstein show was pushed off from March, then July and then pushed to August and the 7pm show was moved to 10pm. This is not PPAC fault, but how they handled it shows how ignorant they are to their audience.
A lot of people buy tickets through a 3rd party, but get stuck when shows get changed, but when a show get changed this many times and gets moved from 7pm to 10pm they should try and accommodate the people who have paid a lot of money for these tickets.
After talking to multiple third-party vendors, they all said the same thing that none of them would work with Peck as they don't understand the process in their systems as so I'll they can't even transfer tickets in a professional way.
Try calling someone at PPAC box office or in the administration. So clueless and spoiled as they do not care about there customers. This place would never last if they had any competition and why no one outside the local area goes there
Providence is a great city and deserves far better management for a great venue then what this places offers. The management are like politician who have been in place way too long. Let someone who has a clue...
