Bizzy Bees — Restaurant in Proviso Township

Went here for Sunday brunch. Wasn't very busy - 4 other tables taken. All of them had issues, such that we kept hearing the servers apologize (and at one table, the owner came out and apologized and tried to comp the meal).

We've heard good things about the food itself (from the other Google reviews, and from one diner while we were there). We didn't find out for ourselves. After sitting down with the menus, we waited 15 minutes before any one even acknowledged us - and that was a "I'll be with you in a moment" (without an apologetic tone). We waited nearly another 10 minutes before we just got up and left and went elsewhere. There were only four other tables taken! And we saw at least three people who seemed to be in the 'service/waitstaff' role.

The table next to us waited at least 10 minutes for coffee (or more - we left before their coffee was actually delivered).

We saw no sense of urgency. We saw little ownership from the waitstaff. I really want this place to work out, but we had a very unfortunate...

this is the sort of place for clientele on a budget. the menu is quite inexpensive. the food quality matches the price, but it is a clean place and we ate all our food. the iced coffees were delightful with the crushed ice. the waitresses were nice. the atmosphere is cute, lots of decor and even things like board games. older people seem to be their main clientele, which makes sense since older people are usually on a restricted income. one thing i will say is that the hours of operation are a mystery — there are 3 signs out front saying 3 different things. the closing time seems to be the confusing part for them — the opening time is 9 AM on...

Went during the soft opening... we were so excited to see a new business occupying the space! The owner and staff were so incredibly kind. The service took a little bit, but honestly, they just opened, and we aren't impatient people. The food was definitely worth it! Between me and my husband, we tried like 4 different types of tacos and OMG they were all so good! And the prices are a steal! We were disappointed to see that they changed hours to 9-5 because we would really like to grab dinner there... but hopefully, the hours will expand as the business grows Definitely check the new business out.
