Submarine Tender — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I ordered a carry-out order. When I arrived at the restaurant the line was pretty long. I waited and didn’t mind, this is typical. However, I noticed my mozzarella sticks sitting in the cold waiting.

After paying and continuing to wait nearly 10 minutes for my fries, I asked for new mozzarella sticks as the sticks that were given to me was very cold. A kind employee took them and said sure. However, the female worker began to yell at me explaining that they are made when you call in and are not made fresh.

I thought that things were settles since new mozzarella sticks were already being prepared. But to add to this an aggressive male employee walked up and the two of them began yelling at me about how I can’t have new sticks because they are not made to order and I’m causing them to lose money. I explained that there is no reason for us to go back and forth, but the man yelled that there is and continued antagonizing me.

I told my daughter that we would never return to the establish and he yelled, We’ve been here 36 years, don’t come back, we don’t need your business.”

I want for the aggressive male and female staff here to know that you never know what people are going through when they walk into your establishment. This behavior that you displayed could be the last straw that pushes someone over the edge. Someone could have just lost a loved one and just wanted some comfort food. You should feel ashamed...

Back in the days growing up I went to a place called Bismarck. The combo roast beef and corn beef Submarine sandwich extra Mayo and mustard (HOT) Always… is what I ordered my family too… Well for years it’s been CLOSED DOWN VERY SAD!!!! I had a client out here and decided to come here for a bite to eat first…. Let me tell YOU I’m the HAPPIEST CUSTOMER…… THIS PLACE REMINDS me of my childhood taste buds…… ALL OVER AGAIN….. like why didn’t I find you sooner…. I’m bringing my whole family here… I definitely recommend sandwich was amazing and I came again after that!!!! Bought 2 supers! Combo’s…. I’ll be bringing my AUNT NEXT BECAUSE SHE LOVES THESE SANDWICHES…. Usually I take pictures of my food always it was so good I didn’t have time…. But next visit I will…. Another thing I tried was the strawberry shake…. Delicious……. Reminds me of another spot SUZY’s best shakes in Chicago…… but they also CLOSED DOWN…. This is a 38 minute drive from me but...

The menu isn't much different than most other restaurants that serve a wide array of fast food choices. Typical in terms of burgers, gyros, subs, fries, etc. The gyros that my wife and I had were decent, even though the fries were the skinny ones that we don't really care for. My only real complaint is that when I ordered my drink, to my surprise the pop machine listed Nehi Fruit Punch as one of the options. Needless to say, I became very excited. My sister and I have loved this pop for years, and for some reason it can't be found in stores anymore. So when I saw it, I immediately ordered one. To my surprise when i got home to enjoy my dinner, the Nehi wasn't Nehi at all. It was just plain juice!!!!! Not cool, not cool at all 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Maybe I'll give this place another chance in the future...
