I am befuddled with my experience at Jimmy John's Hillside location. My experience was absolutely horrendous and disgusting. I ordered my food in drive through on my lunch. I was greeted by a young lady at the window and paid for my order. She steps away; through the window I can see her combing her fingers through her braids. She is on the end of the food counter. And someone is handing her sandwiches and bags. She comes back to the window. I ask her why she was combing through her braids while she was getting my sandwich. She proceeds to say, I didn't make your sandwich! I say young lady you are still touching the wrapper that the sandwich goes in, it's not sanitary. She turns around and tells her coworkers ; she complaining about me touching my hair and I didn't make the sandwich. Another young lady walks up and I'm trying to tell her what happened . She does something on the register and hands me a receipt . I gave you a refund . I didn't ask for a refund. Well it seemed like you wanted a refund . I said seeming and knowing are different . You didn't ask me. I still want my sandwich but without her rubbing through her hair. Well I have to charge you again. M:That's fine! Well pull around the front. So I go in cause obviously yall not getting it. I ask to speak to the manager . It's the lady who refunded me. I say you all are not acknowledging that hair shouldn't be touched while handling food. She says, it's no different than my hair right now. Btw her hair is pulled back in a ponytail with a cap. I say, it is different cause you're not combing through your hair. Now this is where I got ticked off. The manager then proceeds to flick her ponytail and says, it's no different . I say so you're telling me you're gonna flick your hair after it's a complaint then go back and make sandwiches . I said the thing is you don't know who could be coming to observe you all. You could not take a nice gesture to inform but you mocked me. So now I'm writing this horrible review . I have called corporate and will be writing a letter. 0 stars do not...
Read moreAlways a great experience. Update: 3/27/23 I just placed an order for delivery & the driver had the nerve to call us back reminding us that we didn't add a tip! How are you asking for gratuity for service that you haven't even provided yet?! I think that this practice is very rude & predatory! We usually tip in cash for gratuity, leaving the option to declare it on taxes to the provider of services, seeing that we've already paid taxes on the money. On top of that, she(The Delivery Driver)took our food to the wrong house! We had to go down the street & get her! This is the service that requires advance gratuity, I see why! She would have to get it up front & the customer would be charged...

I chose Jimmy John’s expecting the quick, efficient service the brand is known for—but this visit was anything but. The wait time was longer than what I typically experience at a sit-down restaurant, which defeats the purpose of choosing a place advertised as “freaky fast.”
It’s disappointing to see the standard slip like this. I genuinely hope this location can improve its speed and efficiency, because right now, it’s no longer living up...
