This is THE place to go for breaded/fried seafood if you are in the area. In six decades, I have been to three of their locations, and the food has been consistently excellent. My wife loves the shrimp; I dig the nicely garlicky calamari, and we both enjoy the fish chips and frog legs. The corn fritters, while a bit costly, are a must--and absolute MUST! As far as the physical atmosphere is concerned, this is not the sort of place I would want to eat inside: There is no view except into a parking lot (unlike the Canal St. location, which is right on the Chicago River), and the tall ceilings make the place almost like an echo chamber. One asset of this place made yesterday's 4PM weekday visit particularly enjoyable: Her name is Rolanda, and she says she has worked for the company for twentysomething years, starting out at the Canal St. location. What a pleasure it was to talk to Rolanda for the few minutes of downtime she had. She inquired about our health (interestingly, we were on our way back from a visit to a doctor), and Rolanda seemed genuinely interested in us as people, rather than customers. This sort of experience, which many might dismiss as minor, can make a hell of a big difference in my book. Thanks, Rolanda! If you can keep that attitude for twenty-odd years, you and your company are indeed blessed!

If you're looking for a good seafood restaurant with no frills, look no further. I personally like just about everything they sell here. The one thing that I really love, is their lightly breaded shrimp and on every Wednesday is only $18.00 a pound, instead of the regular price of $22.00. They offer a different daily special everyday of the week, but not all locations are open every day and the hours also vary by location. Everything here is deep fried and made to order, so expect to wait a little bit for your order. If you don't want to wait just order ahead of time. They have four locations around the Chicagoland area, but the original one is on Canal Street, in Chicago and is the only location open 24 hours, it's located near Chinatown. The staff at the location in Hillside seemed to be a little bit friendlier than some of the other locations.

Food was good for the most part. Did the family feast with half order of frog legs. I ve been to the Westchester location and seems like they moved over here to Hillside what a upgrade from the previous location looks really nice inside. Online order was extremely easy and simple to use. The biggest issue I have is you definitely need to check your order when you leave! They have a sign there as well check your order before you leave. I honestly didn't think I had to because when I got there the lady that was grabbing my order was going through everything and making sure it was in there right in front of me. Only to find out the competence was short lived when I got home only to find out I had no sauces for my order instead they gave me 6 Coleslaw's... You want a way to ruin a $50 order here you go..

This particular location DOESN'T tastes nothing like the original one on Canal Street this was my 1st and last time here. My food i ordered was terrible 😩 worse taste I ever had eating sea food I had Fries shrimps, mushrooms and oysters. The oysters and shrimps wasn't juicey and big as the one I go to on Canal. The food had a really bad after taste not fresh at all like a mild tart spoil taste especially the oysters not clean on top of the aroma of fresh fried seafood was not giving at all it was more a aroma(smell) like old dirty burnt oil thats being used longer than should* over and over) and not a fresh smell. I even threw up after a few bites and my stomach started having sharp cramps like pain as well. I'm not sure if this was because who the cooks was for today or just lazy in prepping the food or a budget cut so use old oil and don't change it and the cooks not real cooks they really didn't look experience. My son ordered coconut shrimps and his shrimps was burnt on the outside and not fully cooked all the way threw. My stomach is still upset and if it continues in the next hour or so im going to the ER. Im not seeing this place...

I regularly stay at a hotel near this place for work and decided to give it a try. Generally I'm not ever compelled to leave reviews. However, this is the exception. I ordered their popcorn shrimp with catfish and fries. My first bite into the shrimp and you can immediately taste the dirty oil bieng used to fry them. So than I tried the catfish well that was even worse given the so called "quality" of the fish it was slimy and an overly fishy smell. The fries were nicely fried and not overly seasoned. Unfortunately I just threw the entire meal away. This restaurant should be ashamed of the product they are serving customers. The recourse I can take against them is to inform my peers to stay away. It's a shame because we've contracted a hotel practically next door to them for some time now.

Update - Surprised, surprise I ended up having stomach pains/cramps the following morning. As well as bowel issues. I honestly can't say I didn't see that coming. They obviously dont care enough to serve unspoiled fish. Stay away...
