I recently visited and was excited to try their take on a classic cheesesteak after learning about the history of the original Philly staple. What I got was more of a chopped cheese, NYC-style, than a traditional Philly cheesesteak. The flavors were fantastic—bold, savory, and well-seasoned—but a few execution missteps held it back from greatness. First, the grill needs to be cranked up! A super-hot griddle is essential to get that perfect char on the beef, which adds the smoky depth and crispy texture that defines a great sandwich. Unfortunately, the beef was also over-shredded, making it a bit too fine and losing that satisfying bite you expect from thinly sliced ribeye. The bread could use some love too—warming or toasting it would give it the structure to hold up to the juicy filling without falling apart. The cheese situation also needs a tweak. Mixing the cheese into the beef dulled its impact; layering or saucing it separately would let the flavors shine more distinctly. Despite these issues, the potential is there—the flavor foundation is strong, and with some adjustments, this spot could be a contender. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I’ve had better. If they fire up that grill, keep the beef sliced right, toast the bread, and rethink the cheese, this place could elevate their game. Worth a try for the bold flavors, but don’t expect a classic Philly...
Read moreI placed an order for 2 sandwiches and 2 sides which came out to $50. I was really looking forward to trying this place and didn't mind paying the steep price if the food was good and order was correct. One of my sandwiches was completely wrong missing the extra meat that I ordered and cheese whiz topping. It was also missing the Mayo oil and vinegar and oregano. The minute order of loaded fries should be called not loaded frys because they had barely any toppings. Fries don't cost that much you can afford to give out more than 25 to 30 fries. Especially for charging $50 for 2 sandwiches and an order of loaded fries and fried pickles. The other sandwich was made correctly and the fried pickles were decent but looked nothing like the picture. I tried to post on a Facebook post about my experience and it was promptly deleted within a minute or 2. I thought if I posted it on there it would give them a chance to rectify the problem and save them from getting a bad score on here but since they deleted it I was forced to put it on here instead. Would I go...
Read more6/30/25: I decided to try this restaurant. It does taste like the original Philly cheesesteak I've had on South street in Philadelphia. Beware if you order the Cajun fries they come with a blue cheese dressing…I’ve never had blue cheese on anything Cajun but ok. 🤷🏿♂️. I will give them another try.
Review Update 7/10/25: So we decided to to try this place again. Today, the staff remembers my fry order being wrong or not to my liking and got a complementary order of fries…👌🏿. Let me just say the best Philly Cheesesteak I’ve had came from a place in Philly called Little Pete’s (no longer open😥) Original Steak and Hoagies came pretty close. I will be returning to them on a regular basis. I’ve been looking for a good Cheesesteak and this place is a winner. 🥇
The menu is extensive so try...
