Teri Goa Asian Café is a lesser-known gem tucked away in Orem that offers a blend of Chinese and broader Asian-style dishes. I stopped by recently for dinner and came away with mixed, but mostly positive impressions. What I liked: Friendly, family-style service. The staff were welcoming and polite, and it felt like a cozy neighborhood spot. Service was efficient without being rushed. Generous portions. You get a good amount of food for what you pay. Most entrees can easily feed two people or leave you with a good lunch for the next day. Solid menu variety. From General Tso’s Chicken to Pad Thai and teriyaki bowls, the menu bridges different Asian cuisines — great if you’re dining with people who like variety. Flavorful favorites. Their sesame chicken and Mongolian beef were standouts — rich, savory, and satisfying. The fried rice had just the right texture and wasn’t greasy. What could be better: Inconsistency in seasoning. Some dishes were a bit underwhelming in flavor, like the orange chicken, which leaned too sweet and lacked citrus punch. Ambience is simple. This isn’t a fancy date-night kind of place — more of a casual eatery with basic décor and a quiet, low-key atmosphere. Limited drink and dessert options. The focus is clearly on the mains, so don’t come expecting an elaborate beverage menu or dessert list. Overall Verdict: Teri Goa Asian Café is a solid local option in Orem when you’re in the mood for casual, satisfying Asian food without the crowds or high prices. It’s not gourmet or overly trendy, but the portions are big, the service is warm, and many of the dishes hit the spot. It’s ideal for takeout or a quick, relaxed dinner with...
Read moreFirst time trying this spot, and it's already added to my list of "go-to" spots. I'm someone who almost always focuses on the food, but when good service catches my attention, that's saying something. The crew was very friendly and offers, what I felt, is true hospitality. Even from a fast casual spot, I felt very taken care of for the brief moment that I was there, just waiting for my food. I was given a complimentary donut (delicious, by the way) while I waited, and also saw the employee working the front make sure that the guests in the restaurant had everything they needed to enjoy their food. The food is delicious (got the teri chicken and shrimp with stir fried rice), and is priced very competitively in comparison to franchised Asian restaurants (you know which one I'm talking about) If you've seen any of my other reviews, I always say the same thing; support these local spots. There are people out there who care about food and service, and when they open a restaurant, it's important to support them! If you're tired of the constant decline in good food and service across the industry, keep the places in business that push the standards rather than buying food from franchised restaurants who value profits over...

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a level of service that was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff was not just polite, but genuinely enthusiastic, offering us samples that tantalized our taste buds and made it impossible to decide what to order (in the best way possible!). The space? Oh, let me tell you, it’s like dining in a grand, expansive hall where comfort and style meet in perfect harmony. There's room to breathe, savor, and immerse yourself in the experience without feeling crowded or rushed. Speaking of speed, I've never seen such efficiency paired with such quality. Our food arrived in a flash, yet every bite felt like it had been crafted with meticulous care. Don't forget about the 15% student discount!! And the chicken? Forget what you know about good chicken because this was next-level. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection. Each bite was a symphony of taste that left me in awe. Honestly, this place isn't just a restaurant, it's a destination, an event, a celebration of all that is good in the culinary world. I can’t...
