The new location of Preloved Provo left an indelible mark on my thrifting experience, earning every bit of its well-deserved five stars. From the moment I stepped in, it was evident that this wasn't just a thrift store; it was a meticulously curated haven for thrift scavenger enthusiasts like myself.
What struck me immediately were the outstanding facilities. The spacious rooms provided an atmosphere of unhurried exploration, and the clever addition of customized messages in the mirrors was a delightful surprise. It's these subtle, thoughtful touches that elevate Preloved Provo from a typical thrift store to a memorable destination.
The arrangement of booths was nothing short of brilliant. The ample space allowed for a seamless flow of shoppers, avoiding the crowded and overwhelming feeling often associated with thrift stores. Each booth felt like a curated collection, neatly organized and begging to be explored. The layout is a testament to a well-thought-out design that prioritizes the shopper's experience.
What truly set this experience apart was the personalized touch brought about by the mirrored messages. It felt like the store itself was communicating with its patrons, creating an immersive and engaging environment. It's these small details that make the difference, turning a shopping trip into a memorable adventure.
The owners' presence during the grand opening was a welcome sight. Their commitment to the success of their store was evident, and their hands-on approach added a genuine warmth to the atmosphere. Not only were they there, but they were also actively involved in assisting customers, offering recommendations, and ensuring everyone felt valued.
In a retail landscape where personalization often takes a back seat, Preloved Provo stands out as a shining example of how attention to detail can redefine the thrift shopping experience. The combination of outstanding facilities, thoughtful design, and attentive owners makes it a must-visit for any thrift enthusiast. Five stars hardly seem enough for an experience this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am writing this to maybe help anyone who is thinking of selling here. Iām certain this is a great place to shop for discounted clothing, but as a seller⦠I donāt think itās worth it. I have sold through Preloved twice. Once at the Eagle Mountain location and most recently at the Provo location. After reading through their FAQs and policies, I initially thought that selling through Preloved was sort of a āwin/neutralā situation. Either I was going to make money on clothes that were already destined for the donation bin, or I was going to make 0 dollars when I donated them. Well I learned after the second time that either way I can make little to no money but one is going to take way more effort.
After paying a $25 booth fee, having to go pick up tags, tag all your items, and then go set up, youāve already put in quite a lot of effort and some money. I only grossed about $17 after I first sold at Eagle Mountain. I thought maybe I had priced some things too high. So when I went to Provo I made sure to price lower and followed Prelovedās recommended discounts (which discounts your items up to 90% by the last day). I checked on my sales throughout the week and was so disappointed to see that I had only made $9. Then I remembered they take a whole 40% of your sales. Which is actually a ton. Especially after a $25 booth fee. And youād think that maybe after all that money you pay them they could at least help out by straightening your items at the end of a day⦠but they donāt. (In fact, every time Iāve gone in the girls are just hanging on their phones. Theyāre nice and cute, but youāre taking 40% of my sales to pay a cashier to just sit on her phoneā¦.) If you donāt want your booth to look like garbage, you have to come in everyday and do it. Which was not feasible for me as I live in Lehi. By the end of my week I had made $27.52. So minus my booth fee I made $2.52ā¦. And I actually ended up selling most of my items!! But still only grossed less than 3 bucks. Plus all the effort and time and gas to go set up and take down, etc. I love the concept of this placeā¦. But as a seller I just donāt think itās worth it sadly. You either have to price your items higher (but they wonāt sell likely), or just have an insane amount of clothes to make a decent profit here. (Note: I had plenty of items for sale and only 5 things left at the end of the week. So it was not a lack of inventory on my part)
So thatās just my honest thoughts as a seller. I probably will just donate next time and safe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate They finally got back to me after a month of emails going unanswered. They tried to suggest that i had marked the item incorrectly ($80 is what it was tagged as, but they said maybe it was $8) they showed me footage of it being purchased just hours before i showed up to pick it up. If it were $8, i guarantee it wouldāve been purchased Saturday morning. The only solution they offered was to reach out to the buyer and see if they will pay the full price or return it. I picked up the item today, but even after mentioning it to them 5+ times (they keep ignoring it when i bring it up) Iām still missing another bag of the same value. 2 items in one week go missing and they truly donāt seem to care. Itās not even worth the fight anymore and Iāll spend the time and energy telling everyone i know the avoid this place.
Iām sad i even have to write this review, but no one is doing anything to help me out and i feel like im running out of options to reach someone. Iāve emailed many times, messaged on instagram, etc. and i have yet to get a response from someone with a solution.
A month ago i had a kids booth that was full of fawn design bags. 6 bags to be exact. When i went to pick up my booth, 2 bags were missing and they were not reflecting on my payout. I asked the worker up front and she told me she remembered them being sold, but wasnāt sure why they hadnāt been reflecting on my payout online. She gave me an email to contact which i did immediately. I have yet to hear back with a solution almost a month later. And itās not like Iām missing a couple dollars. This is over $100 loss and Iām extremely upset that this has not been taken more seriously. They wouldnāt be open without their sellers and they donāt seem to care to take care of them and make it right. I understand they are currently switching management, but someone needs to be available to handle the problems especially after a month. I have been a seller since they barely opened many years ago and Iām sad that i even have to write a bad review. Iāve tried to be understanding and tried to be patient. If someone could email me back and get this settled, Iād love to...
