Look here's the thing, the website gives you a COMPLETLY different idea of what you will encounter when you get there. The arcade they have is basically nothing. The only thing that even makes it an arcade, instead of just games in a bowling alley, is that they have prizes for tickets you can earn. However, there are VERY FEW of those arcade games that give you tickets and they are either too hard or not worth it. The prizes cost so many tickets to get them that you would have to spend 10x the amount of money that you would spend to just actually buy them. The food is also NOT good and basically only pizza. They are connected to a Costa Vida through an open floor plan so I would suggest eating there instead of you still go after reading this. I was brought there by my sisters friends so they could bowl. I can't bowl due to breaking my dominant sides elbow 3 times. I had to just sit there for most of a 90min bowling session after exhausting a $20 (160 credits) arcade card in less than a half hour. Not to mention the fact that the bowling pin placement machine kept knocking over one of the back pins making it impossible to get 10 pins, a spare, or a strike at all when it happened. They even had to add 10 min on to the 90 because the sweeping arm that removes the left over pins got stuck 3 or 4 times making it so they couldn't bowl till it was fixed. The only good thing there was some of the employees who were willing to help me a few times (other than having to stand at the prize counter for over 10 minutes and being seen by an employee but then still having to go find someone to help). I would just recommend going to...
Read moreRun-down is the word that comes to mind. My wife and I did the whole experience today (eating, bowling, vr).
First, the positive: most of the staff were very polite, nice and accommodating.
Now, the not so great: the lanes seem to be braking down. Our lane's pin setter didn't work quite right, and as such our scores were not accurate. It would drop pins or not pick them up, etc. We did not use bumpers but I saw many others around us having issues with the bumpers.
We also did the vr experience which was definitely not the greatest. We were told to wait on the bench and that someone would be with us as soon as there was an opening. There were several people ahead of us when we got there. We ended up waiting about 40 min before someone even came by and we had to flag them down when they did. Everyone in front of us had given up on getting their money's worth and left. Turns out there had been two open booths the whole time.
We finally got in and I went to play the first game and one of the buttons was not working so I pushed the call attendant button. I waited for several min of precious time and no one came, so I had to try and find a game that didn't use that button. not the greatest vr experience I have had.
Minor note, but they also don't wipe down the gear...
Read moreThis was my first experience at Fat Cats and I understand now why it gets such good reviews. The place was remarkable clean and the place offers many lanes for bowling, multiple pool tables, a 3D virtual room... and this is a much as I can tick off. There's a restaurant but I didn't step in. There are aids to help bowlers of all levels, and I was caught up with watching and enjoying the success of some kids in other lanes. They were so thrilled with themselves and in occasion even made a strike The lane we were using had glitches and there were at least 3 occasions where it wouldn't return the ball and had to get assistance to reset. Even as the bowling ended and we went to cool off and play pool, Only 3 of the 6 tables were available, with a rip and damage to the cloth on the surface of one. After checking out the table surfaces we chose the one with the least damage. The cloth is coming off each of the tables we looked at. And I imagine they all need repair to some degree. There were announcements made over the course of the time I was present, offering prizes such as coupons for bowling in the future. I'll be going back though it will likely be...
