I was very impressed by this museum. I visited in the early afternoon and was given an exclusive tour. I was surprised by how little I knew before entering the museum and yet the experience was very comfortable for me and inspiring. My tour guide had a vast knowledge of what was on display and explained it all effectively. He was also sensitive to my time (for me, I was in no hurry so it was up to me as far as how much I wanted to absorb). I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a unique experience while in Provo. It's as close as it gets to the BYU football stadium and campus. And it's free. The owners of the museum are very invested in helping you learn as much as possible about the history of the LDS Church in Mexico. The museum was both faith inspiring and intellectually interesting in explaining the unique challenges early Mexican LDS members faced when the Church started there. The only reason I gave this place four stars is because at the very end of the personal tour, there was this animatronic presentation which was a little creepy. Wow wow wow. amazing animatronics -great tour guide -mystery -“wax” figures -next level puppet technology -free brochures -tiny Joseph smith we walked in expecting very little, we left levitating full of the spirit. Inspired, moved, educated. We definitely felt the presence of the early saints there. If anyone is asking themselves “should I go there?” The simple and clear answer is yes. Always and forever.
