Don Joaquin Street Tacos - Provo — Restaurant in Provo

My family and I went yesterday let me tell you, tacos are good BUT the customer service is disappointing the girl who was taking my order has a nasty attitude ( I am human and i understand that we all can have a bad day her attitude was beyond rude) went in yesterday (Oct. 16 2022 at 3:45ish) I felt rushed and at the end she charged me for an extra glass drink and didn't put in 5 tacos that I had requested at the time of ordering. I looked at my receipt to find an order number because her writing threw me off (it looked like a Y as in stating that I had paid) and I see she charged an extra drink and also didn't put the 5 tacos I had requested. I ogt in line, I asked if she could refund me and if she could make another order with my missing tacos she rolled her eyes got her phone out and made her calculations and passive aggressively puts my refunded money on the counter as I had my hand extended to receive it, I calmly tell her about my missing tacos and she rang me up, as I am paying I tell her I still have not received my tacos and If she would be kind enough to either give me my recipet or just tell me my order number. She interrupted me mid sentence and said "mam were busy you have to wait just like everyone" which I responded I am not complaining nor fussing about a wait time I just don't have a way to know what my order number and she then states "well did I not write your order on the recipet" which I told her you did but that doesn't not look like a number that looks like a Y, instead of her giving me a number she was just giving me the runaround I just walked away before i started being mean back. I stood next to the window and told the cook i didnt know my order and i describe it to him and he says that order is coming right out i thank him and the girl shouts "lady your order is 4" right when the cook shouted my order number BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE on behalf of that girl a big thank...

Found our place for authentic Mexican food!!! 😋🎉🎉🎉

Pros:

The name is correct "Street Tacos!!" I loooove Street Tacos, and this place have the real deal and they are delicious!! 😋

They also have the real Horchata!! 😃 Not like in another places a water down nonsense 😒

The staff are very nice (so far).

Cons:

They have a very serious problems with their interior doors!!! They desperately need to fix it as of yesterday!! By installing Hydraulic Doors Closers!! Because it is Very Unpleasant to go to have a nice meal and jumping every time that a door slams!! 🙄😒

It's understandable that if they are carrying things on their hands, they can't hold a door to prevent it from slamming, BUT that's "why" the Hydraulic Door Closer comes on hand and it was created for!!

With the same token, this is a business where you make money from customers, and instead of providing an inviting atmosphere, the entire time that we were there doors were slamming left and right!! Not only that's very rude and ignorant from a restaurant causing their customers to almost choke with their food for jumping of the scare because of the unexpected slamming doors!! But they are pushing away people who loves their product and are satisfied with their customer service, by no fixing those doors properly, which is also part of your customer service how you make your customers feel while they are inside your establishment!!

• I would have gave them in a heartbeat the 5 stars, but the experience with the slamming of multiple doors at the same time, for all the time that we were there, it killed it!! *

I've been here several times with my spouse, children, and family. These are a few thoughts on those visits.

Pros Menu had a good selection in order to build your taco to choose from, clear and easy descriptions, and easy to read Food ordering is easy, however can seem rushed Good value for the quality of item and amount served Decent condiment bar selection Ambiance makes for a fun experience, fun for small groups, couples and fast lunches Sells Coke in the glass bottle, nice! Bathroom is clean, most of the time

Cons Certain menu items are consistently unavailable Tables and chairs are cluttered often and busing doesn't happen fast enough Tight parking, lot shared with three other restaurants Can get crowded quickly Inconsistent flavors from condiment bar

Overall I've had a good experience majority of the times, however every time its been inconsistently hit-or-miss on cleanliness or flavors of the food. I love how busy it gets at night, however some of the people I've dined with and other customers have commented on the crowdedness. I would definitely go back when I want a couple of good tacos and I would suggest this place for...
