Worst birthday ever. Total chaos
Sara was our server …
There was a table sitting in front of us who got sat after we had been, this person got their soup and salad, before our order was taken? Okay.
Got seated at 9 pm, did not get our order taken till 9:30.
Ordered two appetizers, lasagna frita and shrimp scampi from the kiosk. Only lasagna frita came out, had to ask for the second one when the food was out and it was terribly overcooked.
Asked for a lasagna fritta instead but she said no the oven is off since they were closed and it wasn’t even 9:45 … Alright.
Ordered an drink for my mom & never got it the entire time and by what the kiosk showed, it was never ordered.
I tried to order the kids meal, which I’ve been ordering my whole life now which has never been a problem(24years) since i can’t eat alot due to a previous surgery, she told me i couldn’t order it.. at this point the kiosk was more helpful.
Asked for a refill for bread, (our 1st batch wasn’t even cooked all the way) Sara came back and told us there was no refills since their oven was closed and repeatedly mentioned they were closed, long before it was even 10 pm.
She made us feel very un-welcomed during our visit since the second we sat down, i was looking forward to having my strawberry cheesecake at the end of my meal but at that point we just wanted to leave.
All Sara kept telling us is they were closed and when my mother asked for her to warm up the soup because it was cold she told us “as warm as we give it is as warm as you get it”! Like wow i have never had anyone speak to her like that when eating out she was terribly rude.
It’s customer service like this that will make sure me or my family will never come back and even walking out there was over 5 people all standing around talking and not one even said anything as we walked out. One of my favorite restaurants and this location puts a shame...

I had asked for a San Pellegrino, and she brought out my boyfriend and fathers drinks right away which were just a water and ice tea, but kept coming back every few minutes to tell me my sparkling water “would be ready in just a few minutes.” It’s a bottle of sparkling water? Why does it need to get ready? Anyway, then the food was taking a while which was fine but she kept coming back to tell us every 5 minutes, and that just seemed to make feel longer after awhile lol The really weird thing though, that kind of upset my father, she brings my dad his change-he had used cash, and she brings him all bills. She then says “here’s your change, I don’t have the $.82,” and literally sets it down and walks away without even looking at my dad. So we realize that she basically gave him less than the change he was owed, instead of rounding it up. Didn’t even ask him if that was OK with him, just-decided to give him less money and rudely walked away.
So yeah I guess at the end of it all, we went from really enjoying our food, to kind of liking the service, to-“wow, that was really awkward and rude.”
Just our opinion though. Who gives somebody less than what money they are owed for change? If somebody is owed $.82 you give them $.82, or round the...
Read moreWe knew from past experiences with Olive Garden restaurants in Kansas, that for an enjoyable lunch experience it pays to be at the front door at 11am as the parking lot is already filling with the cars of some of the approx 90 employees.who will be there that day. We were second through the door and got a very nice booth with a waiter on his second day at work as a waiter... Hmm, very conscientious, friendly, courteous and got answers quickly to our questions. The multiple menus can be challenging to first time visitors unless you know what you want. The interior furnishing are very nicely done and the area is clean. We had no noise problem as we got there early. The Beringer Pinot Noir was very good and but a bit high IMO at $28. When we left over twenty people were waiting and this is a large restaurant. So please, do arrive when they open, or very shortly afterwards if you possibly can do so; as reportedly many office people come for a quick lunch of the excellent soup or salad and bread sticks! Our waiter and then the manager were very helpful and managed to get me a dinner menu selection of my favorite Chicken Marsala in a very nice to go container and bag. It was excellent for my dinner that night. And my lunch choice of the limited time offer of shrimp and lobster was terrific but may not be available long... Thank you Olive Garden,...
