My son and I noticed this place driving to the gym yesterday, and stopped to check it out. In Pueblo, there aren't really any smoothie cafes I'm aware of. We used to have a few (I can recall one being where Wing Stop now sits on Elizabeth St), but they've all shut down, so it's nice to finally see another one.
When we arrived, there were two workers, and maybe 5 or 6 customers, sitting at the tables waiting for their order. It was obvious from the lack of a greeting, that the workers were busy. Within maybe 10min, all of the customers inside had received their orders and left. It would be another maybe 5 minutes of awkward silence, as they appeared to clean up. Still no acknowledgement of us. Just as I was about to say something, one of the workers finally looked up and asked if we were ready to order.
From that point on, it was a pretty good experience. The worker was super friendly, which I wasn't expecting, as was the other worker when he gave us the drinks. The drinks were pretty good as well. To be honest, I was pretty surprised at their customer service, given the long time without any acknowledgement. While I think it's still important to make that acknowledgement/greeting almost immediately after a customer walks in, I'm going to chalk it up as a one off, and attribute it to them getting slammed right before we arrived, which I...
Read moreIt was my first time coming to this location and it was extremely awkward. I'm not sure if that is how this business operates, but I did not feel welcomed. I was the only customer in the lobby from the time I entered until I left. Once I entered the business, I saw two employees cleaning behind the bar. They both looked at me, but neither of them spoke. I waited at the counter for a response and/or assistance. Neither of them gave that nor did they share if someone would come out to assist me. Honestly, I contemplated leaving, but only stayed due to a friend recommending their bowls. After standing there an extended amount of time, a female entered from around the corner and took my order. Once she finished, she walked away and I didn't see her for the rest of the time that I was in the lobby. As I stood near the barstool area, one of the females that was cleaning kept staring at me. Initially, I figured she was just idly staring with no real intention -- maybe a gaze. She continued to stare and not break eye contact. I felt so uncomfortable. The bowl was nothing to brag about so I will have to discuss that with my friend. Clearly, in my experience, the service was terrible . Besides the lobby being cleaned and music playing, the atmosphere was...
Read moreOk so, I've been in here at least once a week I'm a fan of the green island detox, it's honestly great after a workout. But the reason for 3 starts is not quality of smoothies but the way a recent situation was handled... I went in for a drink and was a bit hungry so I got the new breakfast flat bread with avocado and spicy mayo . So while I am waiting a employee comes out from the back and says "I'm making some more Avacodo, so you need it or are you ok without it?" And I had not gotten my drink yet so I was like no it's Ok I'll just wait take your time , It wasn't busy in there either, it would have been a whole different story if I'd known they were busy . So I ended up getting my drink and my sandwich and I head home well I'm out of my house and I'm eating it and I realize that the avocado is so salty I can't even take a bite, Now I work in the food industry and I have seen it happen before and I can't help but feel like it was done out of spite. This employee also had an attitude talking to her coworkers as well So I can't help but feel it was done...
