Two & Nine Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Pueblo

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!! I walked in for a job opportunity (of which there was no interview or onboarding for, don't expect to get paid fairly at all) I was immediately disgusted by the abnormally small kitchen, the owner was the only one cooking and she was wearing sandals, there were no latex gloves to wear, instead of washing her hands (there was no hand washing station) she was rubbing her hands on a sanitizer rag that was in a clearly disgusting bucket AFTER TOUCHING RAW MEAT, there was cross-contamination in the fridge, the walk-in was laughable, the flooring was torn inside the kitchen, I would be surprised if they ever filter the fryer, absolutely disgusting and I pray to God nobody else eats there because I guarantee anyone can get sick at any time. Way too many health code violations, this place needs a new owner or it needs to...

I first started eating here about 20 years ago. After moving away several years ago I went back today for the first time in 7 years. The food was just as I remembered it homemade and delicious. We all had different dishes and everything was superb. Amazing fried chicken delicious quality beef cheeseburgers and a delicious chicken fried steak. This isn't some hipster bar where you going to get 100 choices of beer. This is a neighborhood bar that has been here for such a long time and they do everything simply but well. You're looking for something fancy if you're looking for an upscale Brewery, if you're looking for 25 different types of ipas this is not your place. But if you're looking for delicious food in a quiet setting for either lunch or dinner this is your place. The service is always incredibly hospitable and I don't think anyone ever feels...

I visit the Two & Nine a long time ago as teenager and my dad bought me the 2&9 special which I would say easily topples one of Pueblo's local mainstays... The passkey special. Two & Nine offers a better bang for your buck, and is worthy of a chance for you stop in and give it chance...
