Was quite disappointed, as advertised for a limited time all shakes were half price after 7 per the sign in the stall. Read it multiple times as it was switching thru all the ads to make sure there wasn't anything else required to get the deal. Finally decided on our food and we're going to do the deal because it is a good one. Pushed the button sat for a min and was then told the stalls were closed which not sure why the menu boards were even still in at that point but just a minor inconvenience. Pull around to the drive thru place the order and the total seemed quite high especially for what we were getting. So my wife gets online and starts making the same order as if we were doing an online order to compare the prices. Add it all up and it's at least 8 bucks more than it should be so not wanting to come at the woman sideways right off the bat as she went to take the money from me I asked her "are all the shakes still half price right now?" She says "that's only when you order on the app." I let our a sigh of disappointment wanting to cancel the 16 dollars in 2 shakes because we never wouldve ordered any shakes in the first place if it werent for the assumed bogo deal but since it's I've cream and such not just a soda I just paid her for them. Driving home pretty pissed we triple check to see if there was that said about the app ANYWHERE which it certainly was not ANYWHERE not online not in the stall plus why would they say to do it in the app while in the stall because clearly someone ordering right there isn't going to be doing it on the app. Then my wife starts looking online where she finds loads of people having the same issues at their sonic drive in. Like a lot. Crazy corporate hasn't corrected this issue yet because I'm not an attorney or anything but wouldn't that be considered "false advertisement?" Read moreI have not been to Sonic on 29& Elizabeth for several months because of rudeness of an employee who left long line at drive through sitting as she talked to friends. Then told me I didn't know how to drive over the bell so she could know I was there even though she can see out the window a line of cars. Yesterday (9)24/2023) I needed to get order for 2 so thought surely a change had been made. NOT !! I ordered 2 #7Ft.Long cheese coney + 2 lemonades + 1 large Vanilla milkshake. After a 15 min. Wait I finally got to the window. The girl read order so fast I had to ask her again, she was obviously covering up mistakes in my order. She claimed I ordered large tots, 1 hot dog and no mention of milk shake. When I said the order was not correct she left and sent manager who acted as if I was in the wrong. I repeated me original order which I was told to be $21. The manager said well then I'll be adding charges to this order. She tried to charge me over $30. Without acknowledging that the order would be correctly completed. I said cancel that ticket and redo, she learned out the window and loudly said," This is how we do it here! " I refused and said no and drove away. I will never go to that Sonic again. I will be contacting corporate because the employees at this Sonic are continually rude and never get order correct. Read morePlaces order online, and this location was the closest I could pick it up from. Not too far away, but there is a sonic about 2min away from where I live that would've been more convenient.
The app said to park in a stall when we get there, press the button, and let them know you were picking up a mobile order. When I pressed the button, however, the worker told me I'd have to go through the drive through. I questioned it at first, since the app told me to wait in the stall, but quickly jumped in the growing drive through line. To be honest, I don't mind having to go through the drive through, but what irritated me was the fact that the app didn't have any messaging to indicate this (it was around 9pm, so I assume that's the reason why I had to go through the drive through), so I wasted time sitting there waiting at the stall.
Similar to my Sonic review on Oakshire ln, it was the workers who ultimately led to my scoring 4 stars. The woman working the drive thru, despite the long line of cars, and business, did an excellent job. She was apologetic about having to redirect us from the stall, and thanked us for going in through to pick up the food.
