I was not going to bring this up because this happened in spring of 2023 but reading the comments I realized that I’m not alone. I had been to timber plenty of times. One night during the week my friends and I decided to go so that we could grab some burgers and listen to music. The minute I walked in a bouncer medium built, black hair, I think he may have been Hispanic looked me up and down. I’m black so I can tell when someone is not happy to see me. My friends got their IDs checked and went in. Both of my friends were white and both were from out of state just like me. I gave him my ID he said he didn’t think it was real. I told him if he wanted me to prove it, I offered to show him a photo of me with my parents and my “21” cake. There was no one in line and only a few people were there sitting so I wasn’t holding anything up. He told me he didn’t think I’m from the place on my ID then asked me what was the major city or something. I answered correct and he still was like no you have to pay. My friends felt bad and tried to pay for me but I didn’t understand why he was toying with me if he was still going to assume it was fake and make me pay. I think it was even more odd that if he didn’t think my ID was real then he didn’t know my age so why even make me pay to get in. It literally ruined my vibe I didn’t eat I just wanted to leave. It felt like he had an issue with me and knew my ID was real but wanted me too feel bad or something it felt malicious. I’m sure I could figure out the exact date if...
Read moreI was shocked by the unprofessional and threatening behavior the security staff exhibited. Security is very aggressive towards women. When I arrived, there was no one at the booth checking IDs so my friends and I waited a little and then just entered. About an hour later I decided to go to the bar to get some water. They said I needed a wristband to get anything from the bar so I went back to the booth to get checked this time and I politely said I needed a wristband. A man there said he wouldn’t check my ID because he saw me run inside and past everyone a few minutes ago. I said you have me confused because I’ve been here for an hour and he said nope I saw you. He was really up in my face and very aggressive. At this point he had my ID in his hand and I said okay just give me my ID and I’ll leave if this is how you are going to treat me. He then started cussing directly at my face. I was actually scared of this man. This place really needs to step up their professionalism and have a training on harassment and...
Read moreI rarely write reviews and it is only when the service is amazing or horrible. Last night my friends and I went to Timber hoping to have a great night for them it was for me it was not. We are all 21 and after waiting 30 minutes in line to get inside we all got id checked, however I did not get a wrist band.
By the time I realized this and went back to get my wrist brand I asked the bouncer politely I never got a wrist band. His response was I know your not 21 and I was like yes I am very politely. He proceeded to tell me to go back inside but I was not getting the wristband. I politely asked one more time why my id could not just be rescanned. He then proceeded to tell me again that he "knows" I am not 21 and that I need to leave before he really loses his temper. At this point I decided to be the bigger person and leave. I asked for his name its Devin; if he even gave me his real name.
Overall a horrible experience. You do not do business by having your employees threatening and or making your clientele...
