It's inside of a hotel which I wasn't expecting. it's set up nicely where you can eat inside and there's a bar, or outside where there's also a bar. it honestly blows my mind that smoking is still allowed anywhere at a public establishment even if it is outside. Two seats down from us was a smoker and his exhale was down wind on to us, even though it's outside, it is still a nuisance. I am also astounded that any restaurant business still supplies straws, they should be banned everywhere in the US. One time use products, plastic bags, straws, and styrofoam should be outlawed, let's keep Florida (all the US) green, and our oceans clean. Our server was great and there is a nice view! I had the crab stack, which I have been looking forward to for 2 weeks once I saw it on the menu. blue crab, lump crab, mango, and avocado. I must say it was quite fishy, not bad, just overly potent. I still managed to eat the whole thing, but kind of was making me nauseous thinking about how fishy it tasted. I'm sure it was fine, maybe from red tide (which is gross), but I survived. Everyone else seemed pleased with her entrees. my mom had the lobster overload, a lobster roll with lobster bisque, which she loved, my dad had a burger which he also enjoyed. I would probably return and order something else, I would advise strategically picking your seat outside if you don't want to inhale other people's carbon monoxide.

Been here three times for drinks and the sunset view. Haven't eaten here yet but the food looks good was especially impressed with the size of the sushi rolls, they look substantial and well made. I see alot of people get some flatbread appy, specks of something...maybe chicken? smothered in bbq sauce, they must be good, cuz they are popular, who am I to say, but they look and smell like a cheap gut filler. If you don't eat and want drinks only you can't sit at a table, so you huddle around the crowded bar. Many varieties of beer on tap, Bombay and tonic and absolute and Cran $8 each, bartenders are all business, not super friendly seem bothered if you ask too many questions or dont know what you want. Live entertainment, great view of sunset, all in all neutral opinion as this adds up to just another in a long line of waterside places to dip your beak and get your grub on, with the bonus of being a raw bar with some intriguing sushi offerings. Teetering on a three/four star rating where I can see a few random things pushing it in either direction. At a minimum you'll see a great sunset and night sky.

We had a good meal with a another couple. The service was excellent, the food was good as it always is but when it came time to pay, everything went downhill. Our waitress dropped my wife's credit card which found a way to fall thru the crack in the deck boards to ground below. No way to directly access this area and besides, that could be a problem with some snakes and spiders. 45 minutes later, with the 4 of us sitting, they located a cordless driver strong enough to unscrew the deck board and lo and behold her card was found as well as another one thats been there for god knows how long. The irritation of course is the 45 minutes all 4 of us sat, no offer of a round of drinks were made and of course no type of "comping" any part of a pretty hefty bill once we had the card back. Not saying that this should be an automatic thing but, it wasn't our fault and we spent a pretty long time sitting and waiting, and I wasn't in the mood to have a discussion with the shift manager who really did bust his butt to get the card, but again its about customer service...So I have give this experience a "2" star.

We chose to go to Hurricaine Charleys for lunch because the atmosphere is really nice and relaxing. We were seated immediately by the hostess (they call Hollywood) there was NO wait at all. All seemed good until this happened. A table near ours appeared to be a mom with her son (who appeared to have some type of disability) they were enjoying a beverage and seemed to be having a very fun conversation with lots of laughter. All good right? The host then reappeared asking them (and in a not so nice voice) if they were going to order food? The women responded very politely we are just having a couple drinks. The hostess then said there is a waiting line and the table is needed and threw menus on the table. Now I look around and there were several tables available. The women was very calm and nice asked her waiter if they did something wrong. Waiter responded "no". They quickly left. My husband and I were so upset by this hostess we asked the waiter what happened. He really had no answer except " this is like the third time today this happened." We handed the waiter money to pay for the 2 drinks we had and immediately left. I have never been so upset by a hostess's action or verbiage. She apparently never experienced how difficult it can be to have a child with a disability or has known anyone who has. Both my husband and I have children in our families with a disability. These caretakers are angels from heaven, and with anyone should be treated with respect!!! Your hostess needs to be trained on how to speak and treat people. We may never return to this restaurant regardless how good the food is. Gave 1 star only because it would not let me...

I love hurricane Charley’s and it has been one of my favorites for many years, but last night I received the worst service I’ve had in a while. I noticed upon walking in that for whatever reason last night there was just not very much communication between staff. We waited about 10 minutes to get sat because the hostess was no where to be found. We ordered some cheesy bread, Mac n cheese, and drinks. My friend and I had to go to the restroom, and we made sure before getting up to let the server know so that the table wouldn’t get bussed. It was about two minutes after we went to the bathroom that someone decided to bus the table anyway. Mind you we only took a couple bites of the food and our drinks were still more than half full. The server we had came into the bathroom to let us know that our table had been bussed, and that she would replace everything that was on it. So we had to sit there while our drinks and food got remade for another like 15 minutes. All we got was the Mac n cheese and the drinks replaced. We did not get the cheesy bread replaced, and we didn’t even eat half of it. So basically I paid for bread that I ordered because I wanted to take some of it home, and it never even got replaced. When we got our new drinks and Mac n cheese we didn’t get any silverware or straws, and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for those as well. The food tasted very good though. It’s always wonderful. You guys just need better communication and customer service skills. I will be back. I just don’t want this to...
