Nice park. No coffee options here far as I could see. I think there might be a vending machine a little to the southwest of here along the shoreline near the boat launch for soft drinks? There are bathrooms here at this park. The old abandoned hotel is slightly to the North East of here and the sidewalk is closed off. The one steps to the Gazebo are apparently damaged at that time of this writing and roped off for future repair. The place is not really handicap accessible, but kind of is depending upon where you go in the park. The view here is great. It looks like the paradise that it is. The sidewalk that skirts the shoreline gives you a taste of fresh clean air. It certainly show cases paradise. There is not an accessible beach here. It is a retaining wall next to the sidewalk. They have a tennis court here and quite a few sidewalks so you can ride a bike here. Park is open 24 hrs. No way to lock it...
Read moreThe park is located right on Charlotte harbor in Historic Downtown Punta Gorda, and has been recently revamped. The atmosphere and environment is absolutely beautiful. The entire playground area is fenced with childproof gates, and the play areas are really nice. There is a lot to climb on, from a stacked cube pyramid to a jungle-gym to a pirate ship. There is enough room for everyone to run around without running into each other. There are 2 pavilions that can be rented out. Close by there are basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts. There are bathrooms. And there is a nice walkway that you can take to walk to Fisherman's Village. I give it 3 stars for 2 reasons. Other than the pavilions, there isn't mush shade. So, during the day, especially summertime, it can be unbearable. And, parking isn't all that great. There isn't much parking, and most of it is not paved. With that said, it still makes for a great little...
Read moreReally wonderful. I'm guessing it's 300 yards by 50 yards. It's located on Charlotte Harbour. Beautiful walking and bike path along the water. There are also 2 🎾 tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts which are open from 8am to 8pm. Tuesday and Thursday evenings are also music nights. People bring their own instruments and play and sing together. Please bring a chair if you want to listen to them. This park is open 24 hours a day and is very pet friendly. The sunsets are awesome. Just a heads up; Glass containers such as beer bottles are absolutely, 100% legal in Guilchrist Park. But a county sheriff may cause problems for you because glass bottles are Illegal in county parks. Guilchrist Park is not a county park but the officer may not know any better and cause you trouble. I know what I’m talking about because I spoke specifically about this to Lt. Lipker of the Punta Gorda Police...
