Playground - Gilchrist Park — Attraction in Punta Gorda

This is a very nice, but VERY busy playground! There is so much to do here for the kids and it is newly remodeled. There is a huge pirate ship play equipment, swings, lots of monkey bars, and more. They also have brand new bathrooms there. If you're planning a birthday party get here early for your spot because the place gets busy quickly! Gilchrist park is so beautiful. This park has always been one of my long time favorites. When i was younger ive spent countless night star gazing from the pier. Or catching the sunrise after going for a run. I can elaborate about all tge other awesome adventures ive had here but that would take too long. Instead know this Gilchrist park is one of the best parks that charlotte county has had. was a nice little park, there was 4 climbing things there one was blocked off site to repairs I assumed. there are 4 swings as well and a covered pavilion with 4 or 6 picnic tables. It's fully fenced around with access only on the parking side with a locked gate. The view from the back side is the water, really pretty! There is also a paved walking path by the water. Right outside the park towards the left are basketball hoops/ court. to the fight was either a tennis or pickle ball court. ...
