Terrible service. Made a 7:30 reservation for a party of 7. We arrived just before 7:30 and were told they were getting the table ready, pointed to a table in the corner and said it would be a few minutes. We sat in the waiting area while they got the table ready. After a wait that was a little longer than it really should have been the hostess came over and said she was sorry but they had to give our table to another group because they had a child at the bar. These people were being seated as she told us this. It was annoying that they chose to push this group in front of us instead of telling the group to move the child but it was something we would have dealt with. After the group at the table was set a man who I can only assume was the owner or manager came over to us and very aggressively said "We don't have room for you right now, we'll seat you when you can." At that point while we discussed in our group how the situation was odd but we had not complained nor said anything to any employees We all decided his attitude and the choice for him to tell use "We don't have room for you right now" was enough for us to leave. We informed the hostess we would be leaving and as we were leaving the manager/owner yelled "Were going to take you to a table right now." If that was the case why wasn't the group with the child taken to that table, and if they had this table that was ready why would he have came over and said "We don't have room for you right now". Read moreTook friends here for New Year’s Eve. Made early reservations to beat the crowds. The food was great but the waitress was horrible. Was seated at our reservation time and waited 35 minutes before we ever saw our waitress. We gave our drink order and we received them one at a time. By the time we got our drink order and was ready to place our food order, it had been an hour. The waitress then didn’t take our order because she said, I just got my fourth table. We waited another 15 minutes before she returned to take our order. She finally brought us bread. My husband ordered a second drink, which was incorrect. We had to flag down another waitress to explain he got the wrong drink. When our waitress brought him the correct drink, she said I know this one’s right because I watched him pour it. By this time, the restaurant was full. When she brought us our food, my husband asked for his salad he ordered, vinegar and the manager. Ten minutes later she asked if everything was okay and my husband told her he was still waiting on his vinegar and manager (forget about the salad). A few minutes later, the manager came over. We explained that we had been there for 2 hours and everything that transpired. He apologized and said he would inform the owner. After we were finished with our meal, the waitress came over and asked if we spoke to the manager. Not once did she apologize! Read moreI was very disappointed with how my family was treated on Saturday night (4/5/2014). I made a reservation for 6PM for a party of 4. We arrived at 5:20PM and checked in. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time but I figured they will get very busy as dinner time was just around the corner. We were told our reservation was for 6PM and that we would be seated then. About 5:50PM another party of 4 arrived with no reservations and was told it would be about 25 minutes. At exactly 6PM we were taken to a table which had been empty since we arrived at 5:20PM. About 5 minutes later the party of 4 that arrived with no reservations were seated at a table next to us.
With a lot of options in this area to dine at I'm very surprised River City Grill would treat customers this way. If the table we were seated at was empty all this time my family and I all thought how unprofessional your establishment was that we were made to wait 40 minutes to be seated. With customer service like this, we will probably not have River City Grill on the top of our list when trying to decide where to eat.
