We need all the restaurants options we can get in Purcellville... so I'm especially inclined to support and welcome interesting concepts like Purcellville Eats -- basically a shop dedicated to Grilled Cheese. But honestly, I was underwhelmed by the experience and I expect Purcellville Eats to last no longer than Haute Dog or the Pupuseria that previously occupied this space. The staff was very welcoming. The restaurant space has been cleaned and very cleverly decorated. The menu was straightforward. The problem is the limited menu. There just isn't enough you can do with variations on a Grilled Cheese sandwich and tater tots to make this a destination. I had the Pizza Melt, which was fine... I ate it all. I received a generous portion of tater tots, which were fine. I had a delicious Oreo milkshake -- which was worth the visit. Although the only flavors of shake available are vanilla, chocolate and Oreo, a few more would be ideal -- including the option of a malt. Seating is extremely limited and not very comfortable. I had to beg for 3 ketchup packets for my giant bag of tots. The whole meal was inexpensive -- under $10, including a soda. But unless I'm really, really in the mood for a great grilled cheese sandwich, I can't...
Read moreFor all the excitement....it was a huge disappointment! When walking in, it appeared more like a high school study hall with no teacher than a restaurant. Photos were more important than orders. The ventilation system must be clogged, old, or defective as after leaving I smelled like I worked there all day. The time to get my order was too long and I had to ask for my carryout order; they did not let me know it was completed and forgot the soup; after waiting so long the order should have been right. The food is something a dad makes for lunch for his toddler when mother is out of the house. The quality was sub-par for a grilled cheese and tots. For the time, lack of customer care, price, and quality I would say this is worse than the The Pub. Purcellville please get a standard for restaurants. It's bad when chains are still the town's best.
Also, most of these reviews are from the restaurant owner's friends and family. I saw some of them there when waiting...

I got the Cuban style press, and it was okay. I’ll probably never get it again, but the meat was luke warm inside and tough, like it was either over cooked or old. Just not my style of Cuban.
For the rest of the family, their sandwiches were just okay, but it could have also been due to an off day. Again, we’ll give it another shot and willing to update it.
Would still go here for a quick bite if needed. Would recommend it based off the service and potential as well. Think people should give it a shot and see what they think of it. I have friends that have loved it, could just be that it’s not my style.
Still...
