Uptown Sandwiches — Restaurant in Putnam

3 stars is a bad review in my opinion, and im mostly doing so because of the inconsistency. Some times you guys are spot on but AT LEAST 50% of the time it disappoints. I was suggesting uptown to people previously but I can no longer recommend. I usually order a honey mustard special. I add lettuce and extra sauce. I've recently moved so I have to travel a little extra to pick up. The girl on the phone repeated the extra sauce. . And I Said just to make sure- you heard the lettuce too? And she clearly said yes. I got my sandwich and no lettuce and regular amount of sauce. Please don't advertise that you can add items to the sandwich if the cook never do so. I've just been disappointed too many times. I compare it to dunkin- I rarely go anymore because they can never seem to get the order right. Consistency is key guys. Unfortunately you've lost a supporter of your restaurant. I usually enjoy going here but honestly feels like it might be my last time, my fiancé and I ordered 2 grinders and onion rings. My grinder came out good but hers was a totally different story. She ordered a chicken cutlet and got a chicken parm grinder instead, we called up and they offered to make her a new grinder and gave a apology. We decided to take them up on the offer and drove back to the restaurant all the way from home to pick up the new grinder. When we finally got the new grinder and brought it home it was a half fast made grinder that was a huge mess (as seen in the photo) with the bun being completely separated and the bread being ripped up like in the photo. We tried calling again but at this point they were closed and no one was picking up the phone. If Uptown Sandwich fixes this I will redo the review but as of right now I give them a 1 star for professionalism and for their half fast job of trying to fix a situation...

I have a mixed opinion. I ordered the chicken stir fry sandwich, onion, green pepper and very light mushroom, add extra American cheese. The flavor was very good. There were way too many mushrooms. The American cheese was not melted into the stir fry but placed on one side of the sandwich. Had the cheese been melted into the chicken I would have enjoyed it more.I wasn't too impressed with the preparation or cooking. She wore plastic gloves to make my food yet touched every service with the same gloves and went back to finish my sandwich. Everything from a bottle of bbq sauce to a handful of trash that was thrown away. Touching multiple surfaces with that same gloves that touch my food doesn't make me very inclined to order again.
